Summary

This is an 8-day trip to Portugal. You will visit the capital of the country - Lisbon, where you will see all the most important sights of the city. You will also visit Sintra and Cascais. Later, you will travel to Porto and get to know all this charming city has to offer. The last few days will be spent in Douro Valley.

Itinerary

Day 1

Pick up in Lisbon (airport or place to be designated) and transfer to the chosen Hotel, in luxury car equipped with air conditioning, wifi, fresh water and refreshing towels.

Check in at the chosen lodging, free time to have lunch and relax from the trip.

Sightseeing tour in Lisbon, where you visit some of the emblematic districts of the city, passing by the Castle of São  Jorge, Alfama, Baixa Pombalina, Chiado, Belém - there will be some time reserved to taste the typical pasteis de Belém.

In the evening you will have dinner in a traditional fado house and then return to accommodation on a luxury car.

Day 2

Pick up in the lodging – at agreed time (9h30), the guide will pick you up and guide you to the vehicle from which you will do the tour.

Sightseeing tour, in a luxury vehicle, equipped with Wi-Fi, fresh water and towels, you will visit Sintra, passing by the historical city center, Palácio da Pena and Castelo dos Mouros, before heading to Cascais where you will have lunch in front of the sea. On the way back to Lisbon, you will pass in Estoril, and you will cross slowly along the road to contemplate the beaches.

You will sail on the Tejo River at the end of the afternoon, where you contemplate fantastic views of both banks of the river, relax and enjoy some regional snacks.

Then you will have free time to relax before heading out to dinner in a luxury restaurant with a tasting menu harmonized with Portuguese wines.

 Return to the accommodation in a luxury car.

Day 3

Pick up in the lodging – at agreed time, your uide will do the pick up and guide you to the vehicle from which you will do the transfer to Oporto city.

On the way to Porto, the first stop will be in the area of Torres Vedras where you will visit a wine producing farm in the Tejo region. A 4x4 tour through the vineyards will allow you to appreciate the Atlantic influence that these wines suffer.

After this you will travel to Cadaval where you will visit one of the oldest and most emblematic farms in the region that came to be owned by the Marquês de Pombal. There, in addition to the visit with the winemaker who will make you the guided visit to the property and its wines, you will take advantage of lunch - exquisite and delicious tasting menu.

Then you will travel further north and make a new stop in Óbidos, a charming village in the center of the country and once home to the Portuguese monarchy in the XIII century. You will try a traditional ginginha and, if the weather allows, you will take a carriage ride through the streets of the village

You will then continue to OPorto without further delay where you will arrive at the end of the afternoon.

Check in at hotel, and dinner at the accommodation.

Day 4

Pick up in the lodging – at agreed time, your guide will do the pick up and guide you to the vehicle from which you will do the tour.

Sightseeing tour around Oporto City, in a luxury vehicle, equipped with Wi-Fi, fresh water and towels, going through some of the most important historical, archeological and cultural points of interest in the city.

1-hour boat trip with departure from the Douro Marina to discover Porto, it’s bridges and historical landscapes.

Lunch in a Premium Restaurant on Oporto City.

Exclusive visit to one of the most celebrated Port Wine cellars, where you will learn about the process involved on the production of this unique nectar. You will do commentated tasting on the tasting room, where you can ask some questions and clarify any doubts.

Time to relax before going to dinner out in a premium restaurant, with a degustation menu harmonized with wines.

Return to the lodging in a luxury vehicle.

Day 5

Pick up in the lodging.

Tour to Vila Real in a luxury vehicle, equipped with Wi-Fi, fresh water and towels.

You will arrive in Vila Real, where you will have a tour booked in Casa Mateus, a old “solar” build in the XVIIIth century by the famous arquitect Nicolau Nasoni, and one of the most beautiful monuments of the “barroco” period in Portugal. The visit will last around an hour, which includes visiting the main house, gardens, chapel, ending in the cellar to taste some wines of the region.

Passing by Bisalhães, location where traditional pottery pieces in black clay are produced. This process is considered immaterial cultural heritage by UNESCO.

You will have an opportunity to learn about the process involving the production of Porto Wine. You will enjoy a wine tasting on the wine tasting room. Day 6

Pick up in the lodging.

Sightseeing tour, in a luxury vehicle, equipped with Wi-Fi, fresh water and towels, you will be invited to traverse Douro Valley and be dazzled by its belvederes and points of interest.

Visit to the Pinhão Train Station, dated of 1880 and decorated in its fullness by traditional tiles, that shows the tradition and culture of the region.

Short trip by train between the Pinhão and Ferrão Stations.

Exclusive tour to a wine production farm, where you will do a tour of the vineyard, cellar and olive oil presses. You will have an opportunity to learn about the process involving the production of Porto Wine. You will have lunch and do commentated wine tasting on the wine tasting room, there we can ask some questions and clarification of any doubts.

Boat trip for around an hour returning to Pinhão.

Exclusive tour to olive oil presses, where you will do a tour of the museum and have a chance to learn about what is behind the olive oil production. You will do a commentated tasting in the tasting room. There you can ask some questions and get clarification of any doubts.


Return to the lodging in a luxury vehicle with time to relax.

Day 7

Pick up in the lodging.

Sightseeing tour, in a luxury vehicle, equipped with Wi-Fi, fresh water and towels, you will be invited to traverse Douro Valley and be dazzled by its belvederes and points of interest.

Visit Provesende, where you can observe the granite houses and the various noble houses that testify to the secular power and wealth of the region. The village still preserves a beautiful pillory and a fountain in granite, dating from 1755.

You will have an opportunity to learn about the process involving the production of Porto Wine. You will do a commentated wine tasting on the wine tasting room. There you can ask some questions and get explanation of some doubts.

Lunch in a traditional restaurant with regional food harmonized with Douro wines.

You will drive to the dock of the Pinhão where a traditional boat awaits you and you will cross the the Douro until River Tua, one of the tributaries of the Douro, taking the opportunity to observe the numerous farms on both banks, while enjoying the trip.

Disembark on the Tua pier, there you will have a 4x4 vehicle waiting that will help you discovering this charming region, you will get to know a small wine producer, tis production process and some wines. There you will have a picnic on the vineyard and taste some traditional food specialties, gaze upon the breathtaking landscape while getting yourself involved by the traditional flavours.

Return to the Tua train station, dated of 1883, and embark on the train to Pinhão, enjoy the short ride to contemplate the landscape and take one last photograph.

Day 8

Pick up in the lodging – at the agreed time, the guide and guide you to the vehicle from which you will do the return transfer to Oporto (airport or a choosen location).
