Arrive to Alaska from your domestic or international flight. Upon arrival head to Girdwood. Upon arrival get settled into your hotel and take a tram to have dinner at Seven Glaciers, the famous restaurant on top of Mount Alyeska with incredible views of the area.

This morning go on a 3 hour hiking tour on Girdwood Glacier. After your hike, your driver will bring you to Girdwood for lunch before heading to the heliport to be whisked to the top of a nearby glacier for your dog mushing adventure.

Depart Alyeska and take a 2-hour flight in a floatplane to Tutka Bay Lodge situated amidst rugged coastlines and old growth Sitka spruce forests. This afternoon go on a scenic tour or around the property. In the evening have a gourmet dinner.

Take a boat ride to the city of Homer for a tour of the region with your local guide and visit some of the unique Russian communities in the region including historical churches and the “old Believers” communities. Return to the Lodge in the evening for dinner.

Today go on a deep-sea fishing adventure in the waters around Tutka Bay. Some of the species you can catch include halibut, cod and salmon. In the evening learn to prepare your catch using local recipes and ingredients for a self-caught and prepared gourmet dinner!

Today go by sea-plane on a full day bear viewing adventure. Your pilot will determine the best location for bear viewing based on their recent behaviors and bring you to locations to watch bears playing on the beach, fishing in rivers or roaming the dramatic coast-line.

This morning fly to Anchorage and then transfer to a nearby airport for your flight to Ultima Thule. Upon arrival settle in and get oriented to the property before having a homemade dinner.

(Ultima Thule coordinates their activities based on weather but the following day tours are typical activities you will do while at the lodge). Today go on a full day flight seeing tour of the Wrangell St. Elias National Park with your own private pilot in one of the lodge’s planes.

Today one of your optional activities is a local wildlife tour by plane to stunning Turquoise Lake. Amid hanging glaciers and the mountains reflected on the lake’s surface awaits a pure wilderness camp. Here, the tundra provides perfect cover for black bears, sheep, grizzlies, caribou, moose, birds of prey, and all manner of migratory fowl.

Today the team will fly you to a fishing location for a full day adventure of fishing with a gourmet lunch included. Based on season you might choose the Chitna River or some of the other rivers that dot the Wrangell-Elias wilderness.

In the morning fly back to Anchorage and then meet your driver to bring you to the airport for your departure flight.
