Itinerary

Day 1

Boston

After arriving at Boston International Airport a private transfer will take you to the Fairmont Copley Plaza for a 3 night stay. Spend the following days exploring the city’s varied sights and attractions, where new and old sit side by side in perfect harmony. Follow the renowned ‘Freedom Trail’ encompassing 16 key sites, sit in a sidewalk café, watch concerts under the stars or go on a whale watching cruise from the historic harbour.

Day 4

Cape Cod

Driving Distance : 86 miles / approx. 1 hr 30 mins Collect your rental car and head off down to the Cape and arrive at the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club for a 3 night stay. Be beckoned by miles of incredible beaches with days enjoying time on the sands, mealtimes dining on lobster and fresh seafood, or hours perusing the boutiques, galleries and old country stores.

Day 7

Martha’s Vineyard

Driving Distance to Hyannis: 20 miles / approx. 35 mins Drive to Hyannis, leave the car parked up and take the ferry over to Martha’s Vineyard for a 2 night stay at the Harbor View hotel in Edgartown. Far less developed than Cape Cod yet more cosmopolitan than neighbouring Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard offers the perfect balance. Wander the small streets of Edgartown that hold boutiques, stately whaling captains’ homes plus charming inns, restaurants and bars. Set sail on a sunset cruise through the harbour, cycle miles of picturesque bike paths or why not head out on horseback.

Day 9

Nantucket Island

Take a short flight to Nantucket Island where you will spend the next 2 nights at the authentic and iconic White Elephant hotel. The entire town of Nantucket is now an official National Historic District encompassing more than 800 historic structures within a square mile. Absorb the beautiful island with its picturesque beaches, ferries, charming lighthouses and tempting boutiques or swim in the clear waters of Nantucket Sound before hitting the Atlantic coast with a surfboard. Dine at delightful restaurants alongside friendly locals or treat yourself to a signature Nantucket lightship basket, created by artisans replicating those originally crafted by sailors.

Day 11

Newport

Driving Distance from Hyannis: 79 miles / approx. 1 hr 40 mins Board the ferry from Nantucket Island to Hyannis and return to your hire car. Drive to Newport where you will spend the next 3 nights at The Vanderbilt Grace hotel. A yachting enthusiast’s dream, Newport is the scenic home to the world-renowned sailing race, the America’s Cup. Witness stunning scenery while wandering along the elevated Cliff Walk, explore The Breakers mansion, former home of the legendary Vanderbilts or chart sporting history in the Tennis Hall of Fame.

Day 14

Depart Boston

Driving Distance : 73 miles / approx. 1 hr 25 mins Make the most of your last morning in Newport before driving to Boston to return your rental car in time for your flight to the UK.
