You will be met on arrival and transferred to Raffles Grand d’Angkor for a 3 night stay. Set in over 15 acres of beautifully landscaped French gardens and built around the country’s largest swimming pool, the hotel is a peaceful oasis to retreat to after exploring the nearby temples.
In the morning visit magnificent Angkor Thom, the last capital of the great Khmer Empire. Visit the sprawling Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the enchanting Bayon temple, followed by lunch at a local Khmer restaurant. In the afternoon visit the world-renowned Angkor Wat, arguably the largest religious building in the world and a must-see for all visitors.
Spend the morning enjoying a private Tonle Sap Lake boat tour; the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia and lifeblood of the Cambodian fishing industry. Hop onboard a small shaded vessel and meander between the floating homes and small fish farms, witnessing daily lake life. The remainder of the day is free perhaps to explore Siem Reap and its markets.
Today you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to Siem Reap Airport for your flight to Sihanoukville. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred by road and boat to Song Saa Private Island for a 4 night stay.
Spend time relaxing and enjoying this beautiful retreat, where two ‘sweetheart’ islands are connected by a footbridge and surrounded by a reef of tropical marine life. Dine at the over-water restaurant, immerse in the Song Saa Sanctuaries spa or head out into the water to explore the reef.
Today travel by boat and road to Phnom Penh for a 2 night stay at Raffles Hotel Le Royal. Located in the heart of Phnom Penh, guests are ideally placed to take private sightseeing tours and enjoy the city’s vibrant social scene. The Raffles Spa, outdoor pool plus hotel bars and restaurants are perfect for unwinding after a busy day.
In the morning enjoy a tour of the Royal Palace, The Silver Pagoda and National Museum. Built in 1866, the Palace is made up of several structures including The Silver Pagoda featuring over 5,000 silver tiles. It is also home to a number of national treasures, perhaps most notably a life-sized gold Maitreya Buddha decorated with 9,584 diamonds. From here visit the National Museum, housing the world’s largest collection of Khmer art sculptures, ceramics and bronzes from different periods of Cambodian history. The remainder of the day is free for you to spend at leisure.
Transfer back to the airport for your return flight home.
