From bustling Kolkata, India’s vibrant capital of culture, to the astounding beauty of Darjeeling and surrounding landscapes, with its verdant tea plantations, Himalayan vistas and Buddhist monasteries, prepare to take the road less travelled on this captivating journey. Kick off in Kolkata, a bewitching blend of colour, charm and excitement with its modern skyscrapers and Raj-era architecture before retreating to the tranquil surroundings of Glenburn Tea Estate. Along the way you will discover the scenic hill station of Darjeeling and a wealth of outdoor pursuits that make the most of the beautiful region.

Upon arrival in Kolkata you will be transferred to The Oberoi Grand for a 3 night stay. A vibrant city with a distinct socio-political culture, Kolkata offers plenty for you to see and do.
Begin your tour of this vibrant city with a visit to the Jain Temple also known as the 'Jewel Box Temple of Calcutta', followed by a visit to the magnificent Marble Palace and Mother House, founded by Mother Teresa.
Today's visit of the city includes the Howrah Bridge over the Hooghly River, Victoria Memorial holding numerous paintings of the British Royal Family and Dalhousie Square, which has been declared as one of the world's one hundred most endangered sites.
Today you will return to Kolkata Airport for your flight to Bagdogra where upon arrival you will be transferred by road to Glenburn Tea Estate for a 4 night stay. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure to relax and enjoy this beautiful place.
Enjoy a full day excursion to Darjeeling, which stands at 6,000 feet with the magnificent Mount Kanchenjunga as a backdrop. Visit the Zoo, famous for its snow leopards and red pandas, the Botanical Gardens, Ghoom Monastery and the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute.
The next few days are at leisure to relax or to enjoy the various activities offered by Glenburn, including a visit to Darjeeling town and a tour of the Tea Factory or trip to Kalimpong town. Enjoy a wealth of outdoor pursuits, such as fishing, hiking and trekking or learn new cookery skills.
In the morning you will be collected from your hotel and driven to Bagdogra Airport for your flight back to Kolkata. Upon arrival you will be transferred to The Oberoi Grand for an overnight stay.
Following breakfast at the hotel you will be transferred to Kolkata Airport for your flight to London.
