Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Boston (D)

After arriving at Boston Logan International Airport you will be transferred to The Langham, Boston, where you will enjoy a 2 night stay. In the evening receive a welcome reception and dinner at the hotel.

Day 2

Boston (B)

Take a morning orientation tour to Boston Common, Beacon Hill, the North End and USS Constitution Museum where you will learn about literary giants, artists and visionaries who shaped early America.

Day 3

Lexington, Concord & Williamstown (B , L , D)

Visit the site where British and colonial Americans fought and where the iconic ‘Minuteman’ sculpted by Daniel Chester French stands. Stop off in historic Deerfield en route to Williamstown before arriving at The Orchards Hotel for a 2 night stay.

Day 4

Stockbridge, Lenox & Williamstown (B , L , D)

Visit Stockbridge and explore the Norman Rockwell Museum, dedicated to the beloved illustrator. A short drive to Lenox brings you to The Mount, the hilltop Georgian mansion of celebrated author Edith Wharton. Return to Williamstown for a tour of the Clark Art Institute and enjoy a second night at The Orchards Hotel.

Day 5

Shelburne & Stowe, Vermont (B , L , D)

Arrive in Shelburne for a visit to the Shelburne Museum of Art and Americana. Spread over 45 acres, this unique museum showcases 19th century American life. End the day in Stowe, staying overnight at Stoweflake Mountain Resort & Spa.

Day 6

Montpelier & Bretton Woods (B , L , D)

Head out of the Green Mountains of Vermont via the state capital, Montpelier, and visit Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks to see how their famous syrup is made. Continue into the White Mountains of New Hampshire, arriving in Bretton Woods for a 2 night stay at the historic Omni Mount Washington Resort.

Day 7

Mount Washington (B , D)

Take in the views from Mount Washington as the scientists at the meteorological observatory brief you on their work. Indulge in the colourful quintessence of a seasonal foliage tour as you journey back to Bretton Woods where you will enjoy a presentation on the local ecology and wildlife and an à la carte dinner at your hotel.

Day 8

Portland, Maine (B , L , D)

In the morning arrive in Portland where a local lobsterman will take you out on his boat for a hands-on experience. Enjoy a guided tour of the historic Old Port and dinner at a Bailey Island lobster house overlooking Casco Bay before staying the night at The Inn at Brunswick Station.

Day 9

Bar Harbor (B , L)

Venture further up the rugged Maine coast arriving in historic Bar Harbor in time for lunch. Cruise aboard a traditional wooden schooner before spending the rest of the day at leisure. Your next 2 nights will be spent at the Bar Harbor Inn & Spa.

Day 10

Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park (B , D)

Explore the natural wonders of nearby Acadia National Park and enjoy the stunning view from the summit of Cadillac Mountain, before returning to the hotel for time at leisure.

Day 11

Cape Neddick & Ogunquit (B , D)

Journey south to Cape Neddick, near the quaint coastal town of Ogunquit, stopping for lunch and some free time at Camden on the way. Your final night will be spent at The Cliff House Resort & Spa where you will enjoy a farewell reception and dinner.

Day 12

Depart Boston (B)

After breakfast, travel from The Cliff House Resort & Spa to Boston where the tour ends at Boston Logan International Airport.
