Itinerary

Day 1

San Francisco

After arriving at San Francisco International Airport a private transfer will take you to the Fairmont San Francisco for a 3 night stay. Fill your days with sightseeing and free time in the city exploring the many sights and attractions. Venture down to Union Square, the epicentre of the city’s shopping district with famous shops like Macy’s, Saks, and Tiffany & Co., ride the city’s famous cable cars all the way from Market and Powell Streets to Fisherman’s Wharf, grab a bite to eat in Chinatown or cross the water for a tour of the once notorious prison Alcatraz.

Day 4

Calistoga, Napa

Driving Distance : 74 miles / approx. 1 hr 40 mins Collect your rental car and drive north to Napa for a 2 night stay at Calistoga Ranch. With over 400 wineries complete with tasting rooms, Napa Valley is a wine lovers dream. Health enthusiasts will take equal pleasure in the area’s rejuvenating hot springs and spas with their mineral-rich volcanic waters, which have brought visitors to the area since the 1800s. Enjoy the shops, galleries and vibrant Art Walk of Calistoga or why not take to the skies and add the high-flying experience of a hot air balloon trip over the valley.

Day 6

Yosemite National Park

Driving Distance : 215 miles / approx. 4 hrs 35 mins Journey to Yosemite National Park for a 3 night stay at Tenaya Lodge. Yosemite Valley is famous for its spectacular views, granite walls, waterfalls, meadows and the gigantic Sequoias. Enjoy hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails, rock-climbing, guided horseback riding or one of many more adventurous activities.

Day 9

Monterey

Driving Distance : 200 miles / approx. 4 hrs Take a leisurely drive to the coast for a 3 night stay at InterContinental The Clement Monterey. Located close to the famous 17-mile drive at Pebble Beach, your time here is sure to have an air of exclusivity. Join in on the ‘Wine Trolley’, an unforgettable journey sampling wine in the alluring beauty of the Carmel Valley. Visit the Monterey Aquarium on historic Cannery Row or head out whale watching or exploring the spectacular coastline with its dramatic cliffs, breathtaking waterfalls, rocky shores and sandy California beaches.

Day 12

Depart San Jose

Driving Distance : 76 miles / approx. 1 hr 20 mins Enjoy a final few hours sightseeing or shopping in Monterey before returning the rental car in time for your return flight on the new direct service from San Jose to London.
