Itinerary

Day 1

London to Colombo

Upon arrival at Colombo Airport you will be met and transferred to the city, beginning this wonderful tour with an overnight stay at the Residence.

Day 2

Colombo to Deltota near Kandy

This morning you will be transferred to Deltota near Kandy for your 3 night stay at Taylors Hill. Along the way stop to visit The Temple of the Tooth, Botanical Gardens or Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.

Day 3

Deltota

Spend the day with a visit to Mahiyangana, home to the world’s most primitive tribes, the Veddhas. Perhaps take a trip to Knuckles Mountain Range or Udawattekele Sanctuary, both rich in dense forests and abundant flora and fauna.

Day 4

Deltota

Spend the day at leisure, doing as little or as much as you like. Choose from a wide variety of pursuits, including hiking, biking and taking an excursion to Horton Plains or Adam’s Peak. Horton Plains form an undulating plateau over 2,000 metres high and feature the impressive sheer drop, the “World’s End”.

Day 5

Deltota to Galle

Today continue your journey by heading to coastal Galle for your 2 night stay at The Fort Bazaar, located within the walls of the mighty fort. UNESCO has declared the old part of the city that lies within the fort as a World Heritage Site. Witness the excellent view of the ancient harbour by walking on the ramparts from Point Utrecht bastion to Flag Rock bastion.

Day 6

Galle

Enjoy a day at leisure, exploring the fort with its shops, cafés and restaurants, venturing outside to the local villages or simply unwinding with high tea on the verandah at The Fort Bazaar.

Day 7

Galle to Wadduwa

Following breakfast at the hotel depart for Wadduwa, staying for 4 nights at Reef Villa & Spa. On the way to the hotel you can take a boat safari along the Madu Ganga river. Meander downstream, passing mangroves, islands and maybe even monkeys eating fruit from the trees.

Day 8

Wadduwa

Take the opportunity to unwind after an exciting tour and spend these days at leisure, perhaps relaxing by the pool, taking long walks on the beach or enjoying a rejuvenating spa treatment at the resort.

Day 11

Colombo to London

Today you will be collected from the resort and transferred to Colombo Airport for your flight to London.
