Day 4
Excursion starts:
Transfer by Lodge vehicle on shared basis to Manyara airstrip for a scheduled flight to Lamai departing at 09h00, arrival at 10h00. On arrival you will be met and transferred by a Camp vehicle to Singita Mara River Tented Camp. Lunch will be served at the camp. Afternoon depart on a game drive returning to the Camp for dinner and overnight.
The Lamai triangle is celebrated for its annual wildebeest migration crossings. It covers 98,000 acres of the northern-most tip of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, slotted between the Masai Mara National Park in Kenya in the north and the Mara River in the south. Distinctive soil composition results in one of the highest year-round concentrations of wildlife in the Serengeti National Park.
Singita Mara River Tented Camp is the epitome of sustainable tourism and consciously seeks to eliminate the unnecessary use of energy and non-biodegradable materials. In keeping with this philosophy, the camp operates “off-the-grid” and relies entirely on a custom designed solar system for its power and the use of recycled and natural materials wherever possible. Inside the camp, bohemian chic sets the tone for cool relaxation, where spun natural fabrics, canvas, stone and raw leather blend with Masai primary colours and elegant art pieces by young African designers and craftsmen. The functional East African design encourages guests to embrace the outdoors and connect with nature.
In line with preserving unspoiled pieces of land, guests share Land Rovers for game viewing. In order to minimise environmental impact, private vehicles are not available at Singita Mara River Tented Camp.
