Upon arrival at Colombo Airport you will be met and transferred to Kandy for a 2 night stay at Clingendael. If time allows, visit the Elephant Foundation in Pinnawala en route to Kandy, which works tirelessly to improve the care, protection and treatment of elephants in Sri Lanka.
Spend the day discovering Kandy, visiting James Taylor’s tea museum in Loolecondera, where tea was first introduced to the island in 1867, or enjoying a game of golf on the spectacular Victoria Golf Course.
After breakfast your journey will continue on to Yala for a 2 night stay at Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris. Before arriving at the camp, detour for a hike up Little Adam’s Peak near Ella. Take an evening jeep safari in Yala National Park and go in search of elephants, leopards, sloth bears and many more of the park’s inhabitants under the expert guidance of Noel and his team.
After a night in a luxurious tent, head out for an early morning safari where you can witness native wildlife and take the opportunity to capture those all important photographs. Enjoy an afternoon of lunch and leisure time in the camp followed by another safari later in the day.
Following your final game drive, leave the rugged landscapes of the park and journey on to the South Coast, taking a tour of Galle Fort or a working cinnamon plantation, sampling a spice-infused meal before arriving at Aditya for a 3 night stay.
These days are free for you to spend as you wish. Discover the Sri Lankan way of life in the surrounding local villages and depending on the season, go whale watching or take a visit to the turtle sanctuary. Wander around Mirissa, catching a glimpse of the famous stilt fishermen at sunset, a sight worth capturing for any photography enthusiast.
Depart Rathgama and journey to Sri Lanka’s largest city and former administrative capital, Colombo, staying overnight at Galle Face Hotel. This lively and vibrant city is home to many attractions, both old and new. Spend time shopping or soaking up the atmosphere at the stylish tea lounges, cafés, bars and restaurants.
Today you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to Colombo Airport for your flight to London.
