137 Pillars House evokes an old world charm and elegance and invites you to experience the art of refined luxury living. The home of the Borneo Trading Company, from 1889 to 1958, is today fully restored to its original splendor for your relaxation and enjoyment.

The 137 Pillars House features the original Jack Bain’s Bar and Palette Restaurant, which serves western cuisine, and for a taste of Lanna & Thai cuisine the Dining Room is a fabulous venue. The gymnasium, the Nitra Spa & Wellness as well as the beautiful infinity edged pool at the garden wall inspires you to rejuvenate and relax.

The dining room immediately behind the 137 Pillars House is a wonderful space to enjoy indoor or al fresco breakfast, lunch and dinner. It serves an excellent Thai menu with classic northern Thai dishes in addition to a range of Thai favourites as well as a great selection of seasonally inspired international items for lunch or dinner. The menus feature ingredients sourced from the Royal Projects and local farmers harvests.
Jack Bain’s Scottish ancestry - Jack and his family were the last inhabitants of the house. Enjoy crafted Colonial and Asian inspired cocktails, premium whiskey’s, sabered champagne (the bar is the Chiang Mai branch of the Confrerie de Sabre D’Or) and bespoke spirits. Enjoy this wonderful atmosphere reminiscent of the golden era of Gentlemen’s Clubs. Open daily from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
