Description

Baccarat Hotel & Residence New York delights guests and residents by combining the noble heritage and perfect craft of the legendary French crystal company with a modern flair and elements of unexpected magic. Brilliantly imagined by industry titan Barry Sternlicht, who is creating a new hospitality company and an ensemble of luxury lifestyle brands, Baccarat Hotel & Residences New York has been conceived in the style of a sumptuous hotel particulier.

Its newly built Midtown Manhattan glass tower comprises 114 guestrooms from Paris-based luxury-design team Gilles & Boissier; 60 elegant residences from New York interiors master Tony Ingrao; a soothing La Mer spa, the first of its kind in the United States; and a series of salon-style public spaces, including a restaurant from design great Stephen Sills, helmed by Michelin-starred Executive Chef Shea Gallante.

activities

Grand Salon:

The Grand Salon is the hotel’s humming heart from bonjour to bonne nuit, just as it would be in a private aristocratic home. Beginning with gourmet breakfast fare and continuing through the evening to cocktails and nightcaps, the sumptuous second-floor space graciously welcomes guests into the wondrous world of Baccarat.

Baccarat Hotel New York also offers guests, residents and visitors a unique immersion in the fine art of tea in exclusive partnership with Mariage Frères.  Enjoy specialty blends of tea brewed by our Tea Sommelier paired with chef-selected canapés and petit fours.

City Car:

Like Baccarat itself, the hotel’s on-call vintage CitroënDS is a premiereexample of impeccable French craftsmanship. The classic 1970 sedan’s Baccarat red exterior, original cloth interior and streamlined mid-century styling guarantee guests will make a dramatic entrance regardless of where they may be headed. The chauffeured car is available to take guests anywhere they may desire within 15 blocks of the hotel.

bar

Bar:

With its daring, slightly seductive scene, The Bar plays the foil to the refined sophistication of the adjacent Grand Salon. It takes its inspiration from the great American long bars of decades past, the glamorous ballrooms of French hôtels particuliers and even the royal stables at Versailles, whose barrel vaulting and natural-wood walls define much of the space.

A distinctive dose of dark opulence meets this rough-hewn aesthetic, however, in crimson velvets and merlot-colored accent walls, dark leathers and bold black-and-white checkerboard floors, glittering red Baccarat chandeliers and pieces of fine art from the 18th century through today, all hung salon-style behind the 60-foot bar. Here, our expert bartenders serve exceptional wines and perfectly crafted cocktails in stunning pieces of Baccarat crystal, making every night feel like a celebration — a festive opportunity to gather with old friends and, perhaps, even make some new ones.

A petit version of Paris’s Jardin des Tuileries comes to life on the romantic terrace just off The Bar. Dotted with square cut topiaries and sumptuous seating, the alfresco area enjoys pristine views of the Museum of Modern Art, just across West 53rd Street, and the city beyond. A treillage wall covers one end of the terrace, with a working outdoor fireplace at its center, making it an atmospheric locale for morning cappuccinos, pre- or post-dinner cocktails or a stolen kiss at midnight.

gym

Fitness:

The 24-hour gym across the pool features cutting-edge equipment, with guests invited to engage expert personal trainers for more customized experiences.

restaurant

Chevalier:

Named after one of Baccarat’s most beloved creative directors, Chevalier highlights the incomparable talents of Michelin-starred Executive Chef Shea Gallante and celebrated interior designer Stephen Sills. The result is an enchanting reinvention of the classic Parisian brasserie set in New York City.

spa

Spa:

Baccarat has partnered exclusively with La Mer to create the coveted ultra-prestige skincare brand's first Spa in the United States, Spa de la Mer. Hidden away below the hotel's entrance and designed to recall luxurious moments by the sea, the four intimate treatment rooms beckon guests and locals who crave indulgent skin-soothing treatments and revitalizing respites.
