Summary

Ca’ di Dio, originally built in 1272, saw the beginning of its fascinating history in 1500 thanks to the vision of Jacopo Sansovino. A skilfull and respectful restoration has recently given new light to the structure through a project curated by the Studio of Patricia Urquiola. A project that was founded on two objectives: to enhance the ancient structure and allow guests to discover the most authentic Venice while within its walls, making them feel at home. A concept that deeply links Ca' di Dio to the very fabric of the city as Venice is reflected in the materials selected, the colour palette, and the meticulous attention to details. Each element is the work of the skilled hands of local artisans, who shape furnishings, fabrics, and decorations by combining a passion for their work with the secrets and techniques of Venetian tradition.

The 66 rooms spread across three floors await to reveal their beauty to the guests of Ca' di Dio. 10 suites have a unique view of the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, while 2 suites enjoy access to a large private rooftop terrace overlooking the San Marco Basin. All rooms and suites are the result of the meticulous project that pervades every room at Ca' di Dio in which the original structure is enriched with elements that bring Venice directly within the walls of your room, from fine upholstery and wooden frames to convex mirrors, marble, and one-of-akind furnishings.

Location

Ca' di Dio is located at the entrance of the Arsenale area, also known as the "Contemporary Art District". This area of the island is deeply connected to the Venice Biennale, one of the most prestigious international art, culture, and entertainment exhibitions. A privileged position that gives the structure a unique view of the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore and the San Marco Basin, which can be enjoyed from this intimate and reserved place while remaining close to the heart of the city.
