Description

Casa Angelina is the pre-eminent luxury hotel in this region, combining a timeless elegance of style and service with cosseting accommodation, restorative wellness therapies and an unsurpassed location, delicately perched above the tranquility of the Mediterranean sea.

Hotel Casa Angelina offers 39 luxurious rooms and suites, 2 pools, 1 heated indoor and 1 outdoor. The hotel also has an excellent gourmet restaurant, Un Piano nel Cielo, serving Mediterranean cuisine. Casa Angelina is a short walk from the beach and also offers its own private boats.

Un Piano Nel Cielo: Awaken your senses, rediscover the harmony of flavours, find wellbeing in the pleasures of cuisine. Located on the top floor of the hotel, Un Piano nel Cielo offers an unrivalled place to dine, watching the sun set in the west, whilst savouring the very best dishes that the Chef has to offer. As with all dishes, everything is sourced locally and in season, ensuring that the produce is the freshest it can be. Locally caught fish and seafood abound, in dishes such as “Sautéed Squids on an orange flavoured Potato Puree and Buffalo Cacioricotta Fish”, “Baked Cod Fish Roll filled with curly Endive, Pine Nuts and Ricotta Cheese on a white Bean Vellutée” or “Hand-made Spaghetti with Lobster, Broad Beans and Pork Cheek”, while carnivores will enjoy “Roasted Fillet of Beef marinated with Marsala Wine on a 'Genovese' Sauce and Potalo Mille-feuille” and “Rack of Lamb in Pistachio Crust with gratinated Horseradish and Aubergine Timbale” amongst others. Gourmands can choose a tasting menu to get the widest selection of dishes and experience the artful hand of the Chef, and for vegetarian clients a Tasting Menu that is entirely meat-free is offered. Meanwhile an extensive wine list will delight lovers of Italian and International wines and champagnes, while the sommelier will happily assist in making the right choice.
Wine Cellar: The talented Sommelier Rosario Landi has built the wine cellar for Un Piano Nel Cielo, the gourmet restaurant by Casa Angelina. He developed a wine list brimming with Italian and international wines: around 400 labels, 3000 bottles in all. Each year the wine cellar reinvigorates with new selections ensuring that it is one of the most well-stocked in the region. The wine list includes a large selection of territorial wines and the best Italian labels both for red and white wines. For those who have a special liking for international wines, a very good number of French labels is selected, from both small and renowned winemakers but also emerging ones in other continents. Italian and French bubbles abound, with a selection of labels and grapes which will satisfy even the more discerning palates. Wine tastings with customized menus are available.
The Marrakech Bar: The small Moroccan-influenced bar has a terrace on the cliff-edge scattered with teak tables and umbrellas – there can be few more romantic spots on the Amalfi Coast for enjoying a sundowner.
The Pool Sundeck: Perfect meals for sunny days and warm velvet evenings, Casa Angelina’s poolside restaurant has light and healthy meals for all occasions.

The poolside food service offers the kind of meals that your body craves in the heat of the sunlight and healthy, showcasing the abundant Mediterranean produce that has made the local diet a byword for eating well.
Wellness: Experience a profound sense of relaxation with anti-stress and relaxing massages, or try something a little firmer such as sports massage. The Wellness Centre sources its products exclusively from Nectarome, based in an organic aromatic garden (Le Jardin Bio-aromatic de l’Ourika) in the foothills of the Moroccan Atlas, and committed to developing wholesome, natural wellness products that respect the environment. Nectarome combines the wisdom of ancient traditions with the knowledge of modern aromatherapy and phytotherapy.
Beach: Almost directly below Casa Angelina, La Gavitella is one of Amalfi’s best beaches, providing places to swim and sunbathe, as well as explore by canoe and take boat trips.

Unusually for Amalfi, the beach faces west, and is one of the few that gets the sun until late in the evening. The charming La Gavitella Beach Club & Bar provides a welcome watering-hole for thirsty sunbathers, as well as offering local snacks and their justifiably renowned Sorbetto al Limone di Praiano - a lemon sorbet made with lemons and citrus fruit from Praiano.
Master Angelina Boat: Based on the form of the local Sorrento “gozzo” fishing boats, Master Angelina was built entirely by hand by master craftsmen, using quality woods and construction techniques dating back to the 19th Century. It has a length of about 10 meters, equipped with two inboard engines to ensure maximum reliability and safety. Master Angelina seats 10 passengers with space to allow all passengers to sunbathe. It also features two cabins with separate bedrooms, kitchen, shower, small sitting area and bathroom. The characteristics of this type of boat offer very high stability and comfort even in rough seas, while latest generation navigation equipment, combined with the Captain’s years of experience, allow you to explore the bays and coves of the Amalfi Coast in perfect safety, stopping for a swim wherever takes your fancy. You can also visit Capri, cruising around the island to see the Faraglioni Rocks, the stacks and the Blue Grotto. Alternatively head to Amalfi and the small towns to the south such as Maiori, Minori and Cetara or simply take off towards the enchanting Baia di Ieranto, sipping champagne at sunset.
