Cosme’s architecture is inspired by the bright fishing villages of Paros, designed as a natural extension of Naoussa. Traditional construction techniques were used alongside local materials creating harmonious architectural compositions. The lobby is the central hub of the hotel where you can find marble flooring, white stucco walls and meticulous scenography. As the interior of the house of a local captain, the scenographical atmosphere is established by a selectionof different decorative elements brought to the island from the Mediterranean. Greek sailors would travel all around Greece and the world, and often bring items back from their travels. These familarial elements are put together to create an extraordinary interior atmosphere.
Artifacts include corals from exotic seas, foreign books, Greek statues, consoles with Asian references, Cycladic wooden furniture and ceramics as well as Europe-designed upholstered furniture and French fabrics. Cosme is characterized by a new aesthetic philosophy by the name "The Aegean Touch," which references the style and beauty of Paros and elegantly blends rare elements from around the Mediterranean with bold Cycladic lines. Furniture are custom-made, with classical references, such as the Frames armchair designed by the famous Spanish designer Jaime Hayon that decorates most of the suites. The colours have been carefully curated to give a sense of safety, desire and luxury with intense warm shades, such as olive green, deep burgundy, red and blue along with the traditional white colour synonymous with Greece. Distinctive wallpapers and fabrics are also hung in the property with handmade embroidery statement pieces by Pierre Frey.
The idyllic island of Paros is home to serene landscapes, refined culture, rich culinary history, naturally sculpted whitewashed architecture, cobbled pathways and stretches of crystal-clear beaches. Embracing the authentic Cycladic lifestyle and encouraging a carefree state of mind, Cosme is set in the soulful harbour town of Naoussa - the jewel of Paros and hotspot for the best island scene— with the clear-blue Aegean water at its feet.
