Nestled in 240 acres of stunning polo parkland on the border of Winsor Great Park, lies Coworth Park, the Dorchester Collection’s 5 star, 70 room country style house hotel and spa. The 17th century mansion and polo estate has been given a chic and eco-friendly modern makeover, which includes three restaurants and an enormous spa. The hotel combines the cosy comforts of a country house with a quintessentially English style and all the modern luxuries guests could desire.
The hotel is set in peaceful and historic surroundings, just outside of Sunningdale, near Ascot, Berkshire. Coworth House, now known as Coworth Park Hotel, dates back to 1776, and takes its name from the nearby Hamlet of Coworth.
This late 18th-century country house’s interior was gutted and rebuilt in 2008 and a new roof was laid. Coworth Park’s original exterior façade and Georgian charm has been retained and given a more contemporary and unconventional design boost. The updated design combines the old and the new seamlessly, which is most evident in the English smoked oak flooring that blends perfectly with the minimalist design palette. The hotel’s interiors have been designed with a modern style, using high quality materials, bespoke furniture, beautiful craftsmanship and all the modern technology guests could desire. Coworth House re-opened as a hotel on the 27th September 2010.
Children are welcome at Coworth Park. Cots can be added to parents’ rooms, free of charge, and extra beds for children are also available at a £50 per night charge, which includes a full English breakfast. There are nannies and babysitters available at an extra charge.
If you’re planning a wedding, conference, board meeting or incentive group, Coworth Park can accommodate large groups of people and offers a range of meeting and private dining services. There are three restaurants at Coworth park. These include the high-end Restaurant Coworth Park, where the menu offers British classics such as Cumbrian beef, Middlewhite pork and Cornish bass. The Barn is a more laid-back, pub type affair, which is reflected in the food. The interiors are oak and stone and there is a fire. There is also an airy café called Spatisserie, which is open for breakfast, lunch and snacks and serves delicious, nutritional food. The eco-friendly, luxury spa has eight treatment rooms, a heated indoor pool, with underwater music and a relaxation area, aromatic steam room and access to an adjacent outdoor terrace with sun loungers and stunning views of the surrounding parkland. The spa’s architecture allows light to flood through. The interior design is contemporary and complimented with lots of art and sculptures. All the materials used are natural and organic.

Some of the ensuites have copper roll-top bathtubs. The rooms downstairs have their own private outdoor seating area with views of the beautiful gardens. These high-ceilinged rooms come with wrought-iron king-size beds, which can be separated into twins on request. The walls have been covered in linen and there are lots of Georgian windows with mirrored shutters, which the light floods through. The rooms have sweeping views of the estate’s woodlands. Each of the rooms has an ensuite marble bathroom, with underfloor heating and a rain shower. All mod-cons are included, such as WiFi, flatscreen TV, CD/DVD/Blu-Ray player, laptop, iPod dock, Nespresso coffee machine and Mitchell and Peach bath products.
These rooms have high ceilings and original Georgian windows and some of them have mirrored shutters. The rooms come with a king-size bed, which can be separated in to twins, on request. Some of these beds are linen-draped four-posters. The rooms are airy and bright and decorated in neutral tones and with wool, silk and cashmere textures. The rooms have marble ensuite bathrooms with underfloor heating, a separate rain shower and a copper roll-top tub. These duplex rooms are situated in the stable courtyard near to the Mansion House and spa. The rooms have a two or four poster bed, leather desk and open-plan living room. The ensuite marble bathrooms have underfloor heating and a separate rain shower; there’s a copper roll-top tub in most of these suites. This duplex suite is situated near to the Mansion House and spa and they have views of the polo fields, courtyard and woodlands. This suite has a marble ensuite bathroom, an additional toilet, patio and garden, a spacious living area with a dining table and wood-burning fireplace. The upstairs area has a four-poster bed, a desk and stunning views in all three directions. All mod-cons are included, such as WiFi, flatscreen TV, CD/DVD/Blu-Ray player, laptop, iPod dock, Nespresso coffee machine and Mitchell and Peach bath products.
This open-plan oak-floored suite overlooks the woodlands. It comes with a sitting room, spacious entrance hall and king-size bed. This is the biggest suite in the Mansion House and has the greatest views available at Coworth Park, overlooking the lime grove, meadows and polofields. The suite has a large living room with a wood-burning fireplace and dining table, a four-poster bed and a dressing room or walk-in wardrobe. The marble bathroom, with underfloor heating, has a copper roll-top tub, separate rain shower, double sinks and views of the countryside.
