The Potting Shed is everything a Cotswold country dining pub should be. It’s relaxed and inviting, with a large leather-and-oak bar and a rustic agenda. Chef Paul Napper is crazy for English pub grub as it ought to be: sticky ribs, great bangers, slow-cooked pork belly and fish that’s been caught on the shores.

Come and use The Potting Shed as your stopping-off point on the way home from work – or as your 19th hole if you prefer. Dress up and enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail. Or dress down and bring the kids.

Afternoon Tea is one of the great English traditions. Anna Russell, Duchess of Bedford and a friend of Queen Victoria, is credited with the invention of the daily ritual of Darjeeling tea and cake in the 1840s. In the West Country today, Cream Tea is incomplete without a scone, jam and clotted cream. Here at Dormy House, Afternoon Tea has become an essential feature of our day. Between 2.30pm and 6pm 7 days a week, you can take it in The Potting Shed, take it in one of the lovely lounges, or take it upstairs to bed!

While there’s a time and a place for oneness and wellbeing, the sparkling new House Spa is all about making you feel absolutely fabulous.

With the help of award-winning spa consultants Neil Howard and Sparcstudio something rather special has been created in the heart of the Cotswolds. Think clean Scandinavian design meets cosy Cotswold stone and you get the picture. As for the soundtrack, there isn’t one, but if you listen hard enough you might just be able to hear the fizzing of champagne bubbles.
