Grand Hotel Central was founded in Barcelona in order to pay homage to the Grand Hotels of the Roaring Twenties that accommodated the seasoned travellers and avant-garde business men and women of that time within the most important cities around the globe. Much more than hotels these were buildings that became the epicentre and focus of life for these travellers who would spend months on end in the city destination enjoying everything it and the hotel had to offer.

The Grand Hotel Central building was constructed during the 1920s, one of the top real estate projects of Via Laietana of its time. Most of the avenue’s buildings were erected during that same decade, inspired by the elegant rational style of Chicago’s architectural renaissance.
