Designed by Victorian master builder Lewis Cubitt, the architect behind Kings Cross railway station, the Great Northern Hotel first opened in 1854. This was the golden age of steam with railway hotels seen as status symbols and the Great Northern Hotel soon became a Victorian landmark. Now skillfully renovated, it is one of the finest luxury boutique hotels in London with is original Grade II-listed features evoking the glamour of its extraordinary past. The GNH is firmly entwined with both the history and the regeneration of this vibrant London neighbourhood.

Ninety-one luxurious rooms feature three breath-taking departures in design, with beautifully handcrafted furniture and original decor set against Farrow & Ball shades with stunning Lefroy-Brooks bathrooms and free high-speed Wi-Fi. Old and new blended in perfect unison.

Great Northern Hotel is located only 25 metres from the Eurostar terminus in the heart of King's Cross St Pancras in London.

The Great Northern Hotel opens directly onto the new, striking Western Concourse of King’s Cross Station. The Eurostar terminus at St Pancras International is just 25 metres from the hotel’s front door. And, Euston mainline station is 350m away, a short walk along Euston Road.

Trains depart King’s Cross for Cambridge, Leeds, Edinburgh and Inverness while six London Underground lines intersect beneath the hotel at King's Cross St Pancras, providing direct links from King’s Cross to Heathrow as well as every other corner of London.

Metres from the hotel's front door, Eurostar trains depart St Pancras International direct for Paris, Brussels & Lille and from there on to Germany and the rest of Europe. Domestic trains run direct from St Pancras Station to Gatwick and Luton airports as well as Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield and Leeds.

GNH Bar - bar

Evoking the sleek lines of twenties Manhattan against Parisian culture, GNH Bar comes to life at breakfast, slides easily into lunch, changing gears smoothly for evening meetings, then glides gracefully into cocktails and stolen glances till late.

MEZZANINE BAR

Snug Bar - bar

Leading off Plum + Spilt Milk, the Snug is a memorable space for an expertly mixed cocktail or a post-dinner brandy. Classic, characterful and quintessentially British.  Rich interiors will inspire conversation with walls painted a shade of deep blue lined with an eclectic collection of art hung salon-style for added drama.  Vintage still life and landscape paintings depict moments of calm in British life.

KIOSK - bar

Open to the Western Concourse at King’s Cross Station, metres from St Pancras International, KIOSK serves hugely generous hot roast meat sandwiches. Freshly hand-carved turkey, pork or salt-beef stacked into delicious artisan breads and beautifully packaged, ready for your departure. 
The stacks are without doubt the tastiest and most satisfying in town. KIOSK serves only delicious, rich Monmouth coffee.

A Hypnos double bed fits snugly within a leather-clad banquette built to an exacting design. Ideal for short stays, the Couchette is cosy yet doesn’t compromise on style or comfort. Ceilings are high and natural light is abundant thanks to large windows, some with views of the striking domed roof of King’s Cross. Cubitt Room

Named after the hotel’s master builder, Lewis Cubitt, these light-filled rooms offer high ceilings and views of regenerated King’s Cross through tall sash windows. Swathed in soothing shades of olive green and cream, the Cubitt has glamorous bespoke leather and walnut furniture, King-sized Hypnos beds with cream leather beds and bright vintage-style Lefroy-Brooks bathrooms.
