This family-owned Relais & Chateaux hotel is located in Northern Patagonia, just outside Pucon, and has a focus on outdoor adventure and “farm to fork” gastronomy – the on-sight dairy produces multiple varieties of cheese (you can take a tour of the dairy), plus there’s an extensive vegetable garden and bee hives – a huge amount of what you eat at Vira Vira is produced on site.
Rooms range from 12 villa suites on the riverbank with outdoor jacuzzis, to 6 hotel suites in the main building, plus the owner’s lodge is available on special request.
Excursions include gentle boat rides from the hotel, fishing, horse riding, visiting waterfalls and taking full-day hikes.
The best way to get to Hacienda Hotel Vira Vira is by flying into Temuco airport (Airport code ZCO) which has frequent daily service via LAN or SKY airlines to and from Santiago (55 minutes flight). Airport transfers can be provided for arriving and departing guests from and to Temuco Airport.
For those guests arriving from Patagonia, it is recommended to fly to Puerto Montt (Airport code PMC) where a transfer for you to the Hotel will be arranged. The Hotel is also easily reachable via Argentina from San Martin de los Andes or from Bariloche.
