Originally a 14th century Dominican Monastry, the Wine Hotel enjoys breath taking views of the surrounding vineyard and river Tormes which flow beneath its foundations. Housing a top tier Restaurant, wine tasting showroom, and a luxurious Wine Spa, Zorita offers the unique Durius experience, designed for self indulgence.

The world of Haciendas de España, of the one that Hacienda Zorita belongs, melts in a same space viticulture and oenology, architecture, art and gastronomy, preserving a form of essential life in culture for centuries.

The first documented reference to the estate dates to 1185, but it wasn’t until 1328 that the Dominicans acquired the property to raise a convent in 1366. Christopher Columbus himself experienced the spirituality of the lands when he passed through Salamanca on his way to the Americas.

When you leave behind the more than 3 hectares of organic vineyard, where you can find the oldest 4 sequoias of Europe, the first thing that will find is the impressive wine Cellar of Bodega de Crianza Durius, where among its walls sleep and gets old the best wines of the Duero and whose cover is an architectural homage to Christopher Columbus, the most illustrated of its guests. Its form remind us unmistakably to the keel invested of the Holy Ship María, wrapping the more than 1,500 casks.
