Hotel Esencia is a majestic 50-acre estate at the midpoint between Tulum and Playa del Carmen in Mexico. It has long enjoyed a storied past in this ancestral cradle of culture, cuisine, and comfort.
Originally built as the private hideaway home of an Italian duchess on the most beautiful beach of the Mayan Riviera, it later became a hotel, and, for some time, has been a sought after destination for honeymooners seduced by the serene comforts of this timeless mansion.
The Main House remains the hotel’s centerpiece, around which footpaths lead to only 29 suites and villas where guests enjoy genuine privacy and top flight hospitality. Within the main house or guest house, the Ocean Suite features 1 king bed, a master bathroom suite, a spacious sitting area with sofa, a private terrace with partial or full ocean views, complimentary mini-bar, walk-in closet, HDTV/DVD, iPod sound system, ceiling fan and air conditioning, and Hotel Esencia signature amenities. Sleeps 2 adults, however extra beds are available (maximum 2 adults/1 child).

A private duplex residence featuring a large living room, 2 bedrooms, 1 king bed, 2 queen beds, a master bathroom suite with separate walk-in shower and tub, 2 additional bathrooms, a large private heated swimming pool, multiple terraces with seating and hammocks, complete separate media room with 52 inch HDTV/DVDs, iPod sound system, complimentary mini-bar, walk-in closets, and Hotel Esencia signature amenities. Sleeps 4 adults, however extra beds are available (maximum 5 adults/3 children).
Bel Ha is a private ocean-front villa that comfortably accommodates 8-10 guests in 3 Ocean Suites and 1 Master Suite with 4 and a half bathrooms in two levels. Ground floor houses kitchen, laundry area, guest bathroom, large open living area, indoor and outdoor dining area with patio for entertaining and lounging. There are Ocean Suites on ground floor, each with ensuite bathrooms. Both ensuite bathrooms have double vanities and walk-in closets, shower rooms and bath tubs. Suites have private terraces with partial or full ocean view.
Second floor has a Master Suite and an Ocean Suitewith ocean view, study and 3 terraces. North-side master bedroom has a sitting area, walledcloset, ensuite bathroom with single vanity,bathroombalcony and shower room. South-side master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with dual vanities, bathtub, shower room and large, ocean-facing terrace with hammock and lounging bed.
The villa has both private pool and beach palapa eachwith sitting and lounging area for diningand entertaining. Pool palapa also features an adjacent barbecue for al fresco cooking by the house chef.

The main house, guest house, pool house and beach palapa are ocean-front spread over 400 ft/120 mt of linear beachfront. The Villa comfortably accommodates 16 to 21 people in 8 spacious bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and includes a 24 hour private butler.
Ground level of main house accommodates a kitchen, laundry area, guest bathroom, 2 guest rooms and a maid’s room, a large living room with indoor and connecting outdoor dining area located in front of its garden.
Secondary level features the master bedroom with a double vanity bathroom and walk-in closet, a terrace that includes sitting area, a hammock, its own private dining table overseeing the ocean, as well as solarium. Top floor houses a second guest room with ensuite bathroom, double queen bedding and private terrace. Set aside the main house you find the guest house, which features 3 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and dining area in front of the garden.
