The outdoor playground at Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden is the ideal place for your little ones to let off steam in the fresh mountain air.
For the kids, there is a lot to discover in the playground. In addition to a swing and a slide, the wooden playhouse is a very special attraction. The house is located above the ground and can be reached via a climbing net or a wooden board with climbing rope - perfect for little adventurers who like to climb and play.
Please note that the playground is open to the public and the responsibility lies with you as a parent. There is no restriction on the opening hours of the playground or the age of the children.

Summer toboggan run in Berchtesgaden
Fun for the whole family, a beautiful view and action will be guaranteed at the summer toboggan run in Berchtesgaden. The summer toboggan run starts at Obersalzberg – more precisely, at the Alpengasthof Hochlenzer – and goes down some curves for about 600 m. After the descent, it is possible to get back to the start with a lift.

Magic in the forest
Follow an educational trail through a mystical and magical forest! Thousands of years ago, the Hintersee emerged through a dramatic landslide. Here you will find rare plants, emerald green waters and dark, mysterious forests.

Eagle and marmot compound

STROLLS AND EASY HIKING PATHS

Carl-von-Linde Path
A well-developed, scenic hiking trail through the mountain forest with a fantastic view of the Watzmann and the surrounding mountains. A family highlight – the summer tobogganing run – awaits half way.

Soleleitungsweg
On the sun terrace above the Ramsau. Half way up, the path offers magnificent views over the Wimbachgries and Ramsau.

Almbachklamm
This tour offers exciting views over a roaring mountain torrent which - with its numerous waterfalls - counts as one of the most beautiful and wildly romantic gorges of the Bavarian Alps.

Wimbachklamm
A moderately difficult hike to the heart of the Berchtesgaden National Park. We hike along the constantly widening debris flow in between impressive mountain massifs.

Hohes Brett over Brettgabel
The Hohe Brett is one of the best-known peaks of the Hohen Göll. The ascent via the Brettgabel beckons with fantastic views over Lake Königssee and is more varied than the usual route via the Jenner and the Stahlhaus.

Hocheck Watzmann
The ascent to the Hocheck is steep and challenging. It is only partly secured and due to its length (1.950 m) and altitude, it should not be underestimated.



MTB TOURS
Tough ascents and speedy descents are typical for these mountain bike tours with various levels of difficulty. 25 marked tours, altogether covering over 700km in length and reaching over 22,700m in height difference await! You can rent the appropriate mountain bike free of charge from the Activity Concierge.



RUNNING TRAILS ON THE OBERSALZBERG

Kempinski Run
Short but sweet. A beautiful run through the forest surrounding the hotel. The Kempinski Run leads along the Kempinski Circular Trail.

Pure Alpine Running
One of the most beautiful running trails in Berchtesgaden is probably the one that runs through the forest, along the Carl-von-Linde Weg. From here, you constantly have magnificent views over Berchtesgaden and the surrounding nature.



ADVENTURE GORGE
Torrential streams, thunderous waterfalls – a hiking tour through Almbach or Wimbachklamm is an exhilarating adventure! Even on hot days, you roam through ravines with shady trees and roaring masses of water.
