Summary

The Lamp no Yado is a haven of tranquillity and relaxation tucked away in a small cove at the top of the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture. The secluded nature of the inn - surrounded by cliffs on three sides, the sea on the other and accessed only by winding coastal roads - means it is something of a hidden gem; a secret onsen away from the rush of modern life, offering a luxurious, private getaway in unforgettable surroundings.
With only fourteen rooms, the focus is on individuality; each room enjoys a view of the ocean and some have their own outdoor, private hot spring bath attached. The inn offers exquisitely prepared food, including fresh shellfish and the Lamp no Yado's own exclusive wine and sake.
The Lamp no Yado is spectacular all year round whether it be during the warmth of the summer or during the freezing winters. Every season has something to recommend it. During spring you can drive down the coast and see the beautiful cherry blossoms whereas in winter the cold blue skies and heavy snow fall can produce some truly spectacular scenes.
