Courchevel 1650 is a fantastic, diverse ski area. The piste's are wider and longer than many in 1850 and they tend to have less people on which is a bonus for any level of skier but especially beginners. If you are a little more extreme then Courchevel 1650 offers extreme off piste skiing too. You can ski off piste from the top of 1650 down to Portetta at the bottom - it is a hairy ride but one worth doing if you haven't already.
