Not just another five star resort in the Maldives, at Milaidhoo, things are done differently: it’s called reinvented luxury. Opened in November 2016, Milaidhoo is a boutique luxury resort in the Baa Atoll UNESCO biosphere reserve, close to Hanifaru Bay, 126km north west of Male.
It's perfect for nature lovers as the resort's own coral reef, which encircles the island, is a protected area and noted as an outstanding snorkelling and diving site in its own right. This tiny beautiful island, abundant with tropical greenery, measures just 300m by 180m and is fringed by soft deep white sand beaches.
Set in the UNESCO world biosphere, Milaidhoo Maldives is in the heart of the Baa Atoll and is reached by a scenic 35-minute seaplane ride from Male International Airport (MLE). Seaplane transfers only operate during daylight hours. Should you arrive in Male after 15.30, a 15-minute domestic to flight to Dharavandhoo airport can be booked followed by a 15-minute speedboat ride to Milaidhoo.
The above-mentioned seaplane flight will have other hotel guests on board. If you’d like to charter a seaplane for your own private transfer, a private seaplane can be arranged.
