Ornos is one of the island’s most desirable destination in its own right. Protected by cliffs, with little swell and wind on the shoreline, the fine sand beach has shallows that extend out into the bay. It is prized for its natural beauty, safe swimming experience, and a choice haven for yachts at anchor. A water sports school as well as several superb dining and entertainment options add to the appeal.

As the closest beach to the town of Mykonos, a mere 3 km away and accessible within minutes by car, public transport or the Collection’s complimentary shuttle service available to run guests of to and from the town almost every hour.

On the near horizon are the famous ruins of Delos, one of the most important mythological and archaeological sites in the Mediterranean that can be accessed by ferries departing from the town harbour. Alternatively, you may choose to explore Delos, as well as the neighbouring desert island of Rhenia or the hidden coves of Mykonos, by private launch.

By Air
Mykonos is easily accessible. Many international airlines operate through Athens, with direct connections out of London (Gatwick, Heathrow and Luton) and seasonal flights out of Zurich, Frankfurt, Milan, Rome, Munich and Barcelona, to name a few. The flight from Athens to Mykonos takes a mere 35 minutes.

By Sea
Daily connections operate to and from the Athenian mainland ports of Piraeus and Rafina, as well as the Cycladic islands of Tinos, Syros, Paros, Naxos, Ios, Santorini, Andros and Amorgos. There are frequent connections to other sought-after destinations of the Aegean such as Crete (Heraklion) and Samos, and the Dodecanese islands of Astypalaia, Kos and Rhodes.
