Every child under the age of six has a dedicated nanny to attend to their care from 8am until 9pm daily.
Nanny service during those hours is complimentary, while extended hours can be organized for an additional fee upon request prior to arrival.
Children between the ages of 6 and 12 have the choice to be partnered with a buddy during daily activities at the resort.

Receive a traditional warrior welcome
On approach to Nanuku’s port cochere, a warrior will beat a lali (wooden drum) signaling your arrival. You will be met and welcomed by your itokani (buddy) dressed in full Fijian dress as a village chief. As he offers you a bu (freshly picked young coconut) and places a tekiteki (flower) behind your ear, the rhythmic beatings of the lali will be joined by the sounds of a conch shell being blown by another warrior. As your itokani guides you to the Club House, he will explain the significance of the costumes, and each traditional ritual, enriching your experience of legendary Fiji from the very beginning.

Camp out with your own beach bonfire
Your itokani can set up a backyard tent on the grounds of your beachfront residence as well as a personal beach bonfire. Share stories and toast marshmallows under the stars while listening to the rhythmic sound of waves lapping just nearby.

Cast a line from your kayak
Paddle through the clear, calm waters alongside Nanuku or Dave’s reef, and cast a line for local snapper, trout, bluefin trevally and more. Then enjoy a dip, snorkeling underwater to explore beautiful reef formations covered with vividly hued soft corals.

Own a Private Island
Sail the crystal-clear turquoise waters along the fringing reefs of Beqa Lagoon to reach Nanuku Island, your own private island paradise of white sandy beach covered with swaying hundred year-old coconut trees. Explore the sandy trails meandering through shaded rainforest canopy, or linger along the coast, where you’ll take in the rhythmic lapping of the gentle waves that surround you from all sides. Keep your eyes peeled and you might even spot a leatherback turtle returning to hatch and bury its eggs. Enjoy a guided snorkeling tour amidst giant clams along Nanuku’s protected reef, paddleboard and kayak the serene waters, cast a line for local snapper, trout or trevally, or just lie back on your hammock and soak in the island tranquility.

Deep-sea fish for prized marlin
If you’re feeling lucky, then join the crew on a half-day game fishing expedition in the fertile waters of Pacific Harbour. You’ll be chasing for Spanish Mackerel, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish and maybe even a prized Marlin. In the deep trenches running either side of Kadavu island, you’ll find some of the best Pacific Blue Marlin hunting grounds anywhere, where catches can range in size from 150lbs to an incredible 1,000lbs.

Discover Kulukulu’s mesmerizing sand dunes
Situated at the mouth of the Sigatoka River, the Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park is Fiji's first national park, established in 1987 to protect a unique natural and cultural heritage site. Hike up giant, soaring sand dunes (if your calves can handle it), discover ancient Lapita artifacts, and look out for 22 bird species in the park’s pockets of native dry forests.

Enjoy a Fijian Food Safari
Join your itokani through dense mangroves to learn how to catch crabs like a local, then enjoy a medicine walk to learn the traditional uses of native herbs and spices. The food safari also includes visits to a local market and nearby farm to bring back fresh Fijian produce, coconuts, breadfruit and more for a warrior-cooked Fijian meal in the evening. Chefs can also use the bounty from your food safari to create a private Lovo experience. Weave coconut fronds around fish, meats and vegetables, and watch as they’re transferred to an underground cooking pit to cook lovo-style.

Enjoy a traditional fire walking ceremony
Legend has it that a spirit god gave the Sawau tribesmen the ability to walk on smoldering hot stones over 500 years ago. Enjoy this ancient Fijian tradition performed by descendants of the original tribe, who walk barefoot across a large fire pit of white-hot river stones seemingly without burning their feet.

Enjoy a traditional Lovo dinner
Learn how to weave coconut fronds around meats, fish and vegetables, and watch as they’re buried underground and covered with hot rocks to slow-cook. Explore an indigenous inland village
We’ll provide you with a traditional kilt-like sulu for your visit to a beautiful indigenous village with a Nanuku itokani. Learn local customs and traditions, and take part in a formal seated kava ceremony with village elders. The visit also includes a guided trek inland where you’ll walk underneath emerald rainforests and past lacy ferns. You’ll see one of the many tropical bird species soaring above and even possibly encounter a wild boar. Enjoy drinks, fruit and pastry along a scenic riverbank and take a refreshing dip if you want.

Explore the Kula Wild Adventure Park
Initially established as a “bird park” in the late 1980s, Kula Wild Adventure Park has now grown into the South Pacific’s environmental showpiece, with captive breeding programs for critically endangered species and huge walk-through enclosures that put you inside the natural habitats of resident water birds, reptiles and more. The “adventure” portion includes the Kula Krazy Canopy Flier, the only rollercoaster zip-rail in Fiji, and 360-foot Splash Mountain Jungle Water slide, where you’ll spin around loops and turns propelled by 25 liters of water flowing each second.

Explore the mountains behind Pacific Harbour in an off-road buggy
On this self-drive guided tour, you’ll get to explore the lush interiors behind Pacific Harbour few get to see. Embark on a 15-minute rainforest trek to reach a stunning waterfall. Take a dip in the fresh, clear pool, followed by a delicious picnic lunch.

Float up the Navua River by long boat
Board a traditional wooden longboat to go up the Navua River, floating through deep chasms of rock, past remote farms and villages, and the verdant jungle interior with tropical birds and giant fruit bats flying overhead. Go moonlight prawning
Go upriver with your itokani to cast nets for freshwater prawns alongside locals. Then join a local family in their kitchen to learn traditional cooking preparations including coconut steamed prawns smoked over an open flame. Enjoy the fruits of your labor in a memorable feast with your hosts.

Heli-golf a championship level course
While Natadola Bay Golf Course tests elite players during the annual Fiji International, every other day, this championship level course welcomes players of all levels. Designed by former World No. 1 and Fiji golfing legend Vijay Singh and world-renowned golf course architect Greg Letsche, dramatic landscapes abound, from rolling pastures to absolute beachfront. Stunning coral reef and Pacific Ocean vistas await on 15 out of 18 holes.

Hike to a spectacular highlands waterfall
Accompanied by your itokani, you’ll trek through the Serua highlands underneath dense rainforest canopy, past kava farms and the interior villages that line the Navua River Gorge. Reach the spectacular Wainyabia Waterfalls, and take a refreshing dip in one of its fresh, clear pools. Your guide will point out various native plants along the way and explain how they’re used in traditional medicine.

Kayak the gentle waters of the Middle Navua River
Explore the incredibly calm Middle Navua River by inflatable kayak, where your paddle slicing through the waters will often be the only sound you hear. Take a short hike to Wainikavou Waterfall, whose name roughly translates to “Water of the Renewed.” Stand under the cascading falls to renew your spirit, followed by a dip in the fresh, clear pools. Enjoy a delicious mid-day picnic lunch on the beach prepared by your guides. You’ll board a motorized longboat for the remainder of your journey, passing through a breathtaking canyon dotted with waterfalls, watching as tropical birds and giant fruit bats fly overhead.

Learn how to husk and scrape a coconut
Learn how to husk (or take the outer layers off) a coconut in the authentic, rustic style of the Fijians. You’ll also learn how to scrape out the coconut meat, which can be enjoyed as a refreshing treat.

Learn the art of glassblowing
Learn the art of glassblowing from Alice Hill, an experienced professional glass blower who ran a successful dive center on the Coral Coast before opening Fiji’s first and only glass-blowing studio. Here, you’ll learn to blow, shape and color your own unique blown vessel creations, from drinking glasses to vases. You can also learn to design and sandcast more intricately-shaped mementos, including starfish and frangipani, from red gold liquid glass.

Learn traditional Fijian arts and crafts
Join our resort artisans to learn how to make mats and baskets by weaving together leaves of the pandanus tree; hats and bags from taa, a delicate material produced from the young, unripe leaves of palm trees; and to craft your own Tanoa drinking bowl, the traditional vessel for serving kava. Safely suited in protective clothing, you’ll start the day with a visit to Nanuku’s Bee Hive, roaring with 2,000 bees including the resident Adi Kamica, or “Sweet Queen” bee. Learn how bees make honey and the steps to harvesting it, from uncapping wax-sealed honeycomb to filtering and bottling the amber-colored end product. Enjoy the fruits of your labor with a honey-focused spa treatment by expert wellness therapists, and five-course honey-themed tasting menu designed just for you by the Executive Chef.

Ride an EcoTrax “Velocipede” down the Coral Coast
Created by self-described "Kiwi train geek" Howie de Vries, the EcoTrax “Velocipede” combines tandem biking with battery-assisted pedaling along a redundant stretch of sugarcane railway for a scenic ride that’s as demanding—or effortless—as you want it to be. Your guide will lead you cruising gently through beautiful changing scenery including river crossings, mangroves, rainforest, big rock cuttings, open coastline and authentic villages. The final destination is an unspoilt beach where we’ll stop to enjoy a swim or snorkel in the clear, warm waters and enjoy light refreshments.

Savour the sights of Suva
A sight you’ll relish: the changing of the guards— Fijian soldiers clad in impressive, starched white sulus (sarongs) and vivid red tunics—at the Presidential Palace, also known as the Government House. You’ll also explore the expansive municipal market, filled with stall after stall hawking just-off-the-boat seafood and fish, and farm-fresh fruits and vegetables. At the Fiji Museum, located in Suva’s Thurston Gardens, local archaeological treasures date back 3,700 years.

Take a “Kokoda & Bamboo” prawn cooking class
In this very traditional cooking class, you’ll learn everything from how to dehusk a coconut, scrape out its flesh, and press it for milk to how to cook prawns in bamboo shoots over an open fire.

You’ll be greeted by a resounding “bula!” by the bete, or village priest. Clap three times and gulp down a full cup of kava, feeling your lips go numb and a growing sense of calm. Gain insight into the traditional and cultural significance of this earthy, pungent-tasting drink prepared from the pounded root of a pepper plant species, and known for its mildly intoxicating effect.

Take part in a traditional warrior dance ceremony
Enjoy a traditional Fijian meke, which conjures up folk legends, spirits and history through a combination of dance and storytelling. Dancing and chanting are accompanied by rhythmic clapping and the beating of the lali, a traditional Fijian drum. At its culmination, join in and perform a simple dance movement called the taralala.

Train like Fiji’s Olympic Gold Medal-winning Fiji 7s rugby team
Rugby is a way of life here in Fiji, with 36 rugby unions, 600 clubs and up to 10 percent of the population playing the sport. Pair up with a personal coach—and former professional rugby player—for an immersive training program akin to those of the Fiji 7s, one of the most successful rugby teams in the world. You’ll be doing aerobic exercises and gym sessions at the Pacific Harbour grounds, followed by beach runs on the 2km beach and intensive hikes through indigenous jungle terrain. Daily scrimmages against local island teams or Nanuku’s own resort rugby squad provide unrivalled real-world playing experience. Each day’s training concludes with a rejuvenating 60-minute sports massage at the intimate Lomana Spa.
