CITY PALACE
A majestic red and white complex of courtyards and palaces, the City Palace houses the Maharaja Sawai Mansingh II Museum, which is a storehouse of priceless art treasures. Do not miss the enormous silver jars that held the holy water of the Ganges for Maharaja Madho Singh II on his trip to England.
 
HAWA MAHAL
Hawa Mahal is a fairy tale crafted in pink sandstone. This five-storied honeycomb, with over nine hundred jharokhas or latticed windows, was made to allow the ladies of the royal household to observe street festivals from behind their filigreed screens without coming directly in the public eye.

GALTAJI TEMPLE
The iconic Galtaji Temple, snugly perched between cliff faces near Surajpol, offers spectacular views. A collection of striking temples and water tanks, the Galtaji Temple complex has bold macaques and light-footed langurs thronging the site which you must keep an eye out for.

TAKE A REGAL RIDE
Lumber up to the imposing ramparts of Amber Fort on elephant back, as royalty once did. A spectacular edifice of pale yellow and pink sandstone, Amber Fort is one of Jaipur’s star attractions. Do visit the stunning Sheesh Mahal or hall of mirrors, and the art gallery.

SOAR HIGH
The early start is well worth the views you will be rewarded with as you float blissfully in the sky above Jaipur in a hot-air balloon. If the weather is in your favour, you could soar along the mighty Aravalli range, past pretty villages and step-wells, and over the magnificent Amber Fort.

EXPLORE LOCAL CULTURE
The Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing allows you to explore the history of block printing. Hidden away in a beautifully-restored haveli, you can watch local artists carving out intricate designs on wooden blocks and enjoy the unique experience of creating your own block-printed scarf.
