Madera means “wood” in Spanish and the restaurant’s concept is based on the wood-burning oven reminiscent of the California ranch house and early Spanish missionary heritage. Children under the age of 10 are not allowed in the fitness center.

Surrounded by olive trees, the Rosewood Sand Hill swimming pool and outdoor whirlpool are a welcome oasis on warm summer days. Pool guests are pampered with complimentary refreshing treats, chilled face cloths and even sunglass-cleaning. The pool is heated during winter months.
Hotel guests are allowed access for 4 people per room. Villa guests are allowed access for 8 people per villa.

A FARMERS MARKET TOUR
at the San Francisco Ferry Building
Guests will be picked up in a luxury car from the property to the vibrant farmers market at the San Francisco Ferry Building. Upon arrival, guests will meet with Chef Reylon Agustin who will tour and introduce them to his local vendors and farmers. Chef Reylon will describe the variety of local produce that we use in our own menus at Madera.

After an hour of mingling with the Bay Area’s finest farmers, guests can either eat lunch with Chef Reylon or dine by themselves in the many restaurants that the market has to offer. After a leisurely lunch the luxury car transports guests back to the hotel.

California's Great America
A family amusement park located on 100 acres in Santa Clara, California’s Great America offers over 55 rides for adults and children of all ages as well as a water park.

Shoreline Amphitheatre
A great venue for concerts, Shoreline Amphitheatre was built in 1986 by the city of Mountain View in cooperation with local promoter Bill Graham. Graham designed the amphitheatre to resemble The Grateful Dead’s “steal your face” image.

AT&T Park
Home to the 2010 and 2012 World Series Champion San Francisco Giants, AT&T Park is known for its breathtaking views, amazing food offerings, Coca-Cola Fan Lot (children’s play area) and McCovey Cove. Concerts and shows are also hosted at AT&T Park.

Levi Stadium
Levi Stadium is an outdoor sports and entertainment stadium located in Santa Clara, CA which opened for the 2015 NFL season. The stadium is currently the home field of the San Francisco 49ers NFL team and hosted Super Bowl 50.

SAP Center
The SAP Center is an indoor arena located in downtown San Jose. The arena is commonly referred to as the Shark Tank or the Tank, both of which are a nod to the arena's primary tenant, the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League. SAP Center also serves as an entertainment venue.

Elizabeth Gamble Gardens
Gamble Garden is a non-profit community horticultural foundation. Located in Palo Alto, this 2.5-acre property includes an historic home, carriage and tea house, and formal and demonstration gardens. Not to be missed is the Spring Garden Tour. Admission is complimentary.

Filoli Estates
Recognized as one of the finest remaining country estates of the early 20th century, this remarkable 654-acre property includes a 36,000-square-foot Georgian country house and spectacular 16-acre English Renaissance garden. Filoli Estates is a historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Bayland Preserve
Bayland Preserve covers 1.94 acres andis the largest undisturbed marshland in the San Francisco Bay. Multi-use trails provide access to a unique mixture of tidal and fresh water habitats and bird watching. Bayland Preserve is home to a significant population of birds as well as being a major migratory stopover on the Pacific Flyway.

Anderson Art Collection
In 2014, Stanford University becomes the home to the core of the Anderson Collection, one of the world’s most outstanding private assemblies of modern and contemporary American art. Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University
The Cantor Arts Center's diverse collections span continents, cultures and 5,000 years of art history and include the largest gathering of Rodin bronzes outside Paris. Palo Alto Museum and Zoo
The Palo Alto Museum and Zoo is a place where children and their caregivers can go to explore, discover, create and play. Through hands-on science exhibits and a diverse community of live animals, the museum engages children’s curiosity in science and nature.

The Tech Museum of Innovation
The Tech Museum of Innovation, or simply The Tech, is a museum located in the heart of Silicon Valley in downtown San Jose. The Tech comprises an Imax theater and four major theme galleries: Communication, Exploration, Innovation and Life Tech.

Stanford Linear Accelerator Center
SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is home to a two-mile linear accelerator, the longest in the world. SLAC is a multi-purpose laboratory for astrophysics, photon science, accelerator and particle physics research. Six scientists have been awarded the Nobel Prize for work carried out at SLAC.
