Located in the heart of the Masai Mara on the banks of the Sand River, Sala’s Camp offers front row seats to watch the annual Great Wildebeest Migration unfold. Ideally positioned with spectacular views towards the Northern Corridor and Serengeti, guests are ensured a classic East African safari experience in a prolific wildlife area. Sala’s upholds a long tradition of safari under canvas with stylish but simple accommodation reminiscent of early mobile safaris. A warm camp atmosphere and Masai guided activities ensure an unforgettable safari.
The finest Kenyan produce is cooked to perfection at Sala’s Camp. Delicious homemade hors d’oevres are produced before meal times, whilst meals themselves are an extravagant affair. During the Migration season, guests will often go out on a game drive for the entire day, taking a Sala’s Camp special picnic with them. Evening meals can also be enjoyed al-fresco by the river.

Sala’s Camp offers 7 en suite tents, designed to offer the height of luxury on safari under canvas. Each tent has hot showers and a flushing toilet. The tents were originally a mobile safari camp, so they are light and practical, yet spacious and very comfortable. Each of the tents has a huge driftwood bed with ultra comfy mattress and linens. Whilst comfort is the first concern, Sala’s Camp retains the traditional simplicity of the pioneering days.
