Diving with Ocean Dimensions
Laamu Atoll is a diver’s paradise. The crystal clear water surrounding the atoll offers excellent visibility, making the atoll one of the unique and unspoiled diving destinations in the Maldives. The presence of rare species as well as commonly found marine life are another major reason for the popularity of Laamu Atoll as a diving destination. You may come across numerous recognized diving sites in Maldives but Reef Dives, Kandus and Thilas are the most important among all.

Early Morning Dive
For the early bird who is curious about what happens on the reef at sunrise and who wants to know which is the first fish to wake up we offer early morning dives on a regular basis. You leave before the sun comes up and are back in time for breakfast and to join the morning dive.

Fullday Dive Excursion
Enjoy a beautiful day on a comfortable dive boat when you will be taken to some of the dive sites a bit further afield. Full Day Dive Excursion is served with lunch and guests have the preference to select from the set menus.

Night Dive
Life on the reef changes at night, some fish are actually sleeping and others come out to hunt. Don’t miss out on this exciting experience and join for the weekly night dive either on the house reef or on the boat.


WATERSPORTS
As one of the most southern watersport centers in the Maldives it offers a wide range of activities to suit every interest and level of experience.

Surfing
Being the only resort in this atoll the surfers have the break to themselves most of the time. The best time for the wave is from April to October when wind and waves are up, with the biggest swells likely to occur in June to September. Already, from the resort, you can see the impressive white spray of the most famous break in the atoll - the Yin Yang - which breaks on the outer reef of the local island Hithadhoo. You can be taken there on morning and afternoon trips. There are a couple more fun waves around for both left and right-handers further north in the Atoll.

Wakeboarding or Water Skiing
If you are looking for power and speed why not try wakeboarding or waterskiing! We explain the first steps to you on the beach and off we go - it is really easy and fun. A big lagoon nearby keeps the noise away from the resort and has calm conditions throughout the year.

Windsurfing
The crystal blue lagoon looks inviting and provides the perfect environment for windsurfing, suiting both the beginner and intermediate. If you are a windsurfer already the equipment is free of charge.

Catamaran Sailing
For those in search of a more relaxing activity the catamarans provide a refreshing change. The captain will take you on a half day excursions to a local island, snorkelling, looking for dolphins or towards the sunset. If you are a sailor already you can take the catamaran out on your own after your sailing license and skills have been checked.


EXCURSIONS
Discover the Laamu Atoll by meeting the locals and discovering secluded islands. Meet and eat with the locals from the neighboring islands. Explore unhabited islands, go island hopping and relax on secluded sand banks.  

Explore Hithadhoo Island
Island hopping on local Islands is also an excursion option. During the visit on Hithadhoo, local island just near Six Senses Laamu, you can have walk around the streets and get a glimpse of the Maldivian way of life. A visit inside a local home can also be arranged. The usual stops are the local school, community office, the old mosque, a few local grocery stores and for the more adventurous, a visit to a lake right in the heart of the island surrounded by wild nature.

Barbecue dinner on the Sandbank
Another treat for two! This trip offers you the taste of a delicious barbecue dinner on the sandbank, the smell of a fresh breeze, the sound of waves and seabirds and the romantic atmosphere created by flickering candles underneath the tropical evening sky.

Full-day Island Hopping
An excursion for those who would like to experience a taste of much that the Maldives has to offer. During this trip you will have the opportunity to see two different islands and snorkel at one of the most beautiful reefs in the atoll. On one island, you can gain an impression of the Maldivian Islanders’ culture and everyday lives; see the mosque, school and boat-building areas, amongst others, and chat to some of the locals. The second and uninhabited island is there for your leisure. Enjoy great snorkelling and a delicious picnic lunch – a true Robinson Crusoe experience

Private picnic on a desert island
You will be taken to your very own unpopulated island, where you can soak up the sun or relax in the shade of a palm tree. The turquoise-coloured waters are all yours as well, so that you can enjoy swimming and, if you bring along your snorkeling equipment, take time to explore the fascinating underwater world. Feast upon a delicious picnic lunch including a bottle of wine. Sun, sea, food and wine – the perfect ingredients for a romantic day away.

Six Senses Laamu is a children-friendly resort. On site there is a children's club called, The Den, which is a professionally managed children's club with a wide range of activities and games. Babysitting services are on request. Around the resort and in the villa: Children toys, baby chairs at restaurant, baby cots, family activities, hammocks.

With sunshine and sand, children will enjoy a great outing. They have a choice of outdoor and indoor games. If they are able to swim well, and with the permission of the parents, they can go snorkeling to see the wide variety of sea creatures in the house reef.
