Immersed between fragrant pine forests, lucid blue waters and Formentera’s protected sand dunes, Teranka is found on the smallest and most southerly of the inhabited Balearic Islands.
Coined by Teranka’s original founder, Teranka was born to reflect the notion of finding one’s safe anchor, a balance between the words "tierra" (land) and "ancla" (anchor). On an island born from bohemians and counter culture spirits, Teranka taps into Formentera’s laidback traditions to help guests draw from anatural sanctuary to find deep relaxation.
Maintaining its original, handmade dry-stone structure and pared back interiors, Teranka uses local materials to reflect the island's heritage and colour palette. A private art collection curated by owner Jennica Arazi blends pieces from local artists, alongside signature works like "Irma’s Dream" from Jaume Plensa or vintage bronze warship bells from Giovanni Ozzola.
Teranka is located on the southern part of the island of Formentera, on the picturesque Playa Mig jorn, one of the most untouched at a 6km stretch. Views of a lush pine canopy, La Mola – Formentera’s highest point – and the turquoise-cobalt blue waters of the Mediterranean set the backdrop.
To get to Formentera, there are directs flights from more than 65 destinations to Ibiza airport, and then, a direct ferry provides round trip rides between the Ibiza and Formentera ports every 30 minutes (duration of 30 minutes). Distance from Teranka to:
PORT: 12km
BEACH: 150 metres
