This is where safaris began, in remote rustic bush camps situated in areas of breathtaking beauty and these six camps provide an unmatched remote bush experience while still offering the essentials luxuries in life.

Kuyenda Camp

Kuyenda is a camp that epitomises the charm and simplicity of safari camps of old, yet still provides the essential comforts of modern travel. Seasonally rebuilt beneath a shady canopy of trees alongside the Manzi River. The central dining area, lounge and bar overlook a grassy plain where the drama of wild Africa unfolds in front of you. The location of the camp was chosen by the infamous Phil Berry due to the varied environment with dried river beds, open plains, salt pans and the Luangwa River accounting for the diverse mammal, bird, flora and fauna species.
Accommodation:
Each room has queen size beds with unique en suite bathrooms, open to the stars above, with double vanities, shower and sand beneath your feet.

Chamilandou

Chamilandu offers comfort and style in one of the Luangwa Valley's prime remote river locations overlooking the Chindeni Hills from treetop style chalets. Chamilandu walking safaris are a constant mix of awe and information, excitement and inspiration. After a dawn walk, enjoy a hearty brunch then relax before a late afternoon game drive
Accommodation:
Tradition décor adorns the 2-meter high tree house chalets (only 3 chalets in camp). Black mosquito netting allows guests retain an uninterrupted view of the Luangwa River and Chindeni Hills at night under moonlight and stars above. The four-poster beds enjoy a bird's eye view over the waters of the Luangwa River and the abundant riverine wildlife that has made the valley famous. En-suite, outdoor bathrooms adjoin each chalet with a large shower and double vanities under the open sky.

Chindeni Camp

Chindeni Camp is situated on the edge of a permanent lagoon with the Chindeni Hills providing a truly breathtaking backdrop. Ancient ebony trees with their sweet fruit shade the bar and dining area, with an adjacent, gently sloping walkway providing access to a lagoon-side retreat with stylish yet comfortable chairs to soak in the surrounding environment.
Accommodation:
Chindeni is the most luxuriously furnished camp within the Bushcamp portfolio. Raised on a wooden decking, Chindeni's four en-suite magnificent canvas tents have private decks from which one can view the resident big game often in attendance, or simply enjoy the extensive birdlife and serenity of the camp and lagoon. The tents are the most spacious in the Luangwa, each with two queen-sized beds, shower, toilet and double vanities.

Kapamba Camp

Remote, charming and touched with the romance reminiscent of a bygone era, Kapamba's 4 en-suite chalets offer sweeping views of the Kapamba River, fed by natural springs. The region boasts some of the most productive game viewing in the park, often viewed from the privacy of the sunken baths!
Accommodation:
Four en-suite chalets. Open fronts ensure that guests can enjoy game viewing from the privacy of their room. Bathrooms have double sized sunken baths and a spacious double shower, both open fronted with unspoiled views across the Kapamba river below. A half moon deck at the centre of the camp acts as a focal point and is also the bar and dining area. The front of the deck steps down onto the edge of the Kapamba River where guests can cool off when the river is low and clear. Solar panel lighting, paraffin lamps, hot and cold running water and a fully stocked bar ensure that guests will not forgo any levels of comfort.

Zungulila Camp

Zungulila is situated on a raised knoll overlooking a remote corner of the Kapamba River with immense views over a variety of wildlife. New all weather roads have recently been built to enable guests a 4x4 experience up into the hills where there is a chance to see the elusive Eland in the South Luangwa as well as enjoy all the pleasures of walking in the surrounding vicinity.
The day's adventures are retold around a starlit dinner on a beautiful deck or around the sandy boma with an open fire and soft lanterns.
Accommodation:
Each of the four thatched chalet has a large bedroom and full outdoor en-suite facilities under the stars with shower and sunken „plunge pool? as well as a large private veranda where guests can relax and enjoy the abundant game that frequents the spring-fed plain in front of camp.
