Summary

The Cliff Townhouse is a luxury guesthouse and restaurant in Dublin city centre with menus presided over by The Cliff Collection’s Executive Chef Martijn Kajuiter, who holds a Michelin Star at the sister property, The Cliff House Hotel in Ardmore, County Waterford.

A Dublin restaurant-with-rooms, it is located at 22 St Stephen’s Green - the centre of Georgian Dublin, close to Grafton Street’s upscale boutiques. An architectural jewel in the city’s heart, the striking red-brick façade sets the tone for the restaurant’s classic wood-panelled dining room and marble-topped Oyster & Champagne Bar.

The food, created daily by Head Chef Sean Smith, delivers modern fine dining in Dublin with impeccably sourced seafood cooked simply but elegantly. But while seafood lies at the heart of the restaurant’s seasonal menus, meat and vegetarian dishes are also featured, as well as light bites, brunch dishes and hearty salads ideal for a pre- or post-theatre meal.

Upstairs is a unique private dining room, which is among the best venues in Dublin for engagement parties, birthday parties, and special occasion lunches, both mid-week and weekends. The space is also popular for boardroom-level events and Dublin city centre weddings. Adjacent to this first floor event space is an elegant cocktail bar.

On the three upper floors, there are nine guestrooms individually decorated in simple, homely style, combining Georgian-style antiques with contemporary glass lamps, silk curtains and intimate marble bathrooms. Those rooms that face St Stephen’s Green enjoy views of the tree canopy and feel bathed in light.
