The hotel's central location, at the entrance to Knightsbridge from Hyde Park Corner, leaves just a short walk to Harrods, Harvey Nichols and the designer boutiques of Sloane Street, and easy access to all of London’s most famous theatres, galleries, museums and historical sites. The Lanesborough is easily accessible by road and is perfectly positioned for the enjoyment of London’s greatest attractions.
The Lanesborough is 12 miles from Heathrow, and the journey here by car or taxi can take up to an hour. A good alternative is the Heathrow Express train service into Paddington Station, which takes 15 minutes, followed by a much shorter taxi ride to the hotel. Heathrow Express trains leave the airport every 15 minutes. There is also London Underground’s Piccadilly Line, from stops serving all of Heathrow’s terminals to the stop at Hyde Park Corner, just outside the hotel.
London Gatwick is 30 miles south of central London, and a car or taxi journey through typical London traffic can take up to an hour and a half. By train, it is a 30-minute journey by Gatwick Express to Victoria Station, which is just a short taxi ride from the hotel. Gatwick Express trains depart the airport every 15 minutes.
Guests flying to London City Airport in the east of the capital can reach the hotel by taxi or car in around 45 minutes. Alternatively, the terminal is served by Docklands Light Railway, which connects with the London Underground network. From Bank station, take the Central Line to Holborn and change onto the Piccadilly Line westbound, which stops at Hyde Park Corner.
Stansted Airport is to the north-east of London, 45 miles from the hotel. A taxi or car will take at least 90 minutes. The Stansted Express takes 47 minutes to reach Liverpool Street Station in the City, and a taxi from there to the hotel will take around 30 minutes. By London Underground, the journey from Liverpool Street, via the Central and Piccadilly lines, will take around 25 minutes.
Cars from the Lanesborough fleet, including Mercedes S Class and V Class, can be arranged for transfers from airports to the hotel, or as a directed chauffeur service. All cars are driven by Lanesborough staff and overseen by the hotel's head concierge.
