Escaping the everyday life and arriving at a place you have never been to, you are blessed with the gift of new beginnings. Allow your desires to rise to the surface, dare to dream - and then ask for whatever you crave by writing your secret wish on a stone. By placing it in a fountain filled with the enchanted water of Dayang Bunting, a lake celebrated in local legends as a mystical granter of wishes, you change the course of destiny, making your wish come true.

Be spellbound by the dreamy ‘Dance of Thanks to the Sea’ that takes place at the golden hour of sunset at the beach. Longingly awaiting the return of their husbands, praying that the sea will be calm and the fishing nets filled with abundant catch, ladies of ethereal beauty sway to the mellow sound of gamelan music, just as their ancestors have done for thousands of years. With their bare feet hardly touching the sand, their arms mirroring the motion of waves and long shawls in the colors of a sunset gracefully floating in the evening breeze - they tune into the energy of the ocean, celebrating its bounty and generosity. Lose yourself in the poetic spectacle and let your eyes wander to the horizon on which may or may not appear a blurry silhouette of a fishermen boat.

Enjoy a romantic sunset dinner in a private gazebo set in the lush green of the garden foliage or on the beach with a breathtaking ocean view and sand between your toes. Watch the sun go down; painting the sky in magnificent gold and deep purple as you enjoy a welcome cocktail, taking in the tantalizing aroma that slowly fills the air. Preparing your dinner just next to your table, your personal chef will surprise you with a four-course gourmet menu paired with exquisite wine for a truly extraordinary culinary experience.

Join a cooking class and discover how to prepare some of the most popular Malay dishes. With the guidance of the resort's passionate chef, and an apron that will make you feel like a seasoned professional, you will learn how to cook Gulai Udang, a fragrant fish curry with a pineapple, a spicy chicken Ayam Percik with a peanut sauce and a coconut rice cooked in a banana leaf. Accompanied by a glass of wine, no meal ever tasted as good as your very own creation you get to savor right afterward, enjoying the company of fellow participants and the mesmerizing canopy view from the alfresco-deck of ‘Langkawi Kitchen’.

Join a mixology class and create your very own mocktail while experimenting with the flavors of local ingredients. From dragon fruit, ripe mango, durian & kaffir lime to fresh buffalo yogurt and palm sugar, to tropical herbs and spices such as pandan leaf, Thai basil, star anise and cardamom - the exotic ingredients just wait for you to get creative, using the secrets of the trade shared by the resort's Master Mixologist.

Experience a truly unique workout that blends traditional yoga poses with the graceful moves of Silat - an ancient martial art that cultivates mental focus, flexibility, coordination, endurance and power. Exercising on an open-air deck enveloped by a dense rainforest with a wild jungle stream nearby, you get to tap into the ancient wisdom of Malay Warriors who developed this combat style during tribal battles over the Malay Archipelago more than 2000 years ago.

Discover ancient Malay beauty recipes while creating an all-natural soap made of virgin coconut oil, rich coconut milk, rice, honey and indigenous herbs and spices you get to select based on your preference. Led by ‘Mama’, the owner of a local organic farm who lovingly shares secrets passed in her family from generation to generation, the workshop provides fascinating insights into the healing and beautifying properties of turmeric, cinnamon, kaffir lime and other aromatic treasures grown on the island. Once dry, the divinely fragrant soap bars will be delivered to your room. Beautifully packaged, they make a lovely souvenir and a wonderful gift for your family & friends back home.
