The Whitby Bar & Restaurant is a rich, colourful, airy room with high ceilings, an impressive 30 foot pewter bar and beautifully upholstered banquettes. Tall warehouse-style windows and doors lead through to a sunny orangery with vaulted ceilings and skylight, bathing it in natural light. It's open all day every day from 7am for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner as well as morning coffee and evening cocktails. A traditional afternoon tea is served throughout the day.
The Orangery provides the perfect setting for breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea. There is a stunning wall of 40 illuminated porcelain pots by Martha Freud, each etched with a landmark New York building or bridge. It can be hired exclusively and can be transformed from a dining or meeting room to a spectacular venue for receptions and parties.
GYM
The Whitby Hotel has a private, fully equipped gym comprising various cardiovascular machines, free weights and exercise mats. The gym is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Personal trainers can be arranged on request.
