The hotel is housed in an imposing mansion of neo-Gothic inspiration, the EnricBatlló House, which was built between 1895 and 1896 by the pre-modernist architect, Josep Vilaseca i Casanovas, as commissioned by the industrialist, EnricBatlló.
The facade of the building, one of the most artistic and aesthetically significant on Paseo de Gracia, strikes for its bright polychromy, resulting from the combination of various materials, such as brickwork, stone, ceramic and wrought iron.
The renovation project of the Monument Hotel was carried out by the architects, Oscar Tusquets, in the preliminary design, and Carles Basso and Tote Moreno, in collaboration with the interior designer, Mercè Borrell.
The combination of design spaces and modernist elements, the emphasis on light and the combination of fine materials and textures make the Monument Hotel a timeless luxury hotel with its own personality.
Located on the iconic Paseo de Gracia, opposite the celebrated La Pedrera building and just a few metres from the Casa Batlló.
