The Nobu Ryokan is a small, private hotel located on Carbon Beach, next to the Nobu Malibu Restaurant and Soho House Malibu. Its architecture and interior design are inspired by the Japanese ryokans, creating a serene sanctuary for rest and relaxation.
The Ryokan has 16 guest rooms and not all rooms are alike; each is slightly unique based on location and design.
All guest rooms have a king bed, rainfall shower, 75” flat screen TV, stocked mini bar, Creston smart room system and Japanese artwork from a private collection. Some guest rooms have teak soaking tubs, indoor or outdoor fireplaces, and outdoor patios with seating. All rooms accommodate a maximum of 2 guests.
If you would like reservations at the Nobu Malibu Restaurant, advance notice is required.
The hotel offers in-room dining and limited poolside food and beverage service only. There is no restaurant, bar or spa onsite, however the Concierge is happy to assist in making reservations at nearby local restaurants and spa salons. Nobu Malibu restaurant is just steps away from Nobu Ryokan Malibu, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Inspired by his classical training in Tokyo and time abroad in Peru, Chef Nobu Matsuhisa continues to bring the latest trends in Japanese-fusion cuisine to life with an extensive menu of inventive dishes and bold cocktails.
Note: guests must be minimum 21 years and older to check in.
