It also offers Alepa, a sensual and engaging signature treatment that evokes an aura of the royalty where the couple themselves can apply the therapeutic mud on each other then rinsing off in 4 different shower experiences, surely a total bliss! Can you tell us the most exceptional activity that the resort can organize for its guests?

- Romantic getaway in our unique Ocean Pavilion nestled in the heart of the lagoon and reached by a 3-min boat ride from the resort. It starts with a couple’s aromatherapy treatment over the water followed by a sunset cocktail or champagne. Dinner is served after sundown and will be an unforgettable treat of mouthwatering local and international specialties.
- Sand bank experience with local bodu beru performances and highlighting local cultures of Maldives, meal is served with wide selection of  local and international specialties.
- Alepa treatment at Jiva Grande Spa, a signature treatment that evokes the aura of the fabled and privileged lifestyle of Indian royalty. 'Alepa' - literally the act of anointing the body - is a wellness experience drawn from sacred and ceremonial time-honoured Indian bathing rituals. Couples can indulge in romantic mud therapies at its Alepa room, perhaps the highlight of the spa, where they cover each other in mud and lounge on chairs by the sea, taking in the soothing surrounds, waiting for the mud to dry.

What is your favourite food or drink at the resort?
Taj Exotica boast the award winning cuisine at the resort, as it is the best food in the Maldives. We are focusing on procuring the highest quality ingredients, presented freshly from “Farm to Plate”.

My favourite would be the food at our specialty restaurant – The Deep End, an “Upscale Grill and Seafood” restaurant serving European cuisine coupled with creative presentations. Some of the signature dishes in the restaurant are the Maldivian Lobster, Australian Wagyu beef , Australian Barramundi, Arabian Sea King Prawn & Lobster Ravioli, each food comes with a unique salt. Never to miss “The Opera” dessert. A divine dessert which is a live dessert served right in front of you on the top of your table. This signature dessert is named opera because it is orchestrated over the table.

Another exquisite fooda are “The 200 Dollar Pizza” - the base of this pizza is completely covered with Philadelphia cream cheese with one quarter topped only with Wagyu beef carpaccio and kalamata olives. Second quarter of the pizza is topped with roasted French duck and Foie Gras with Italian truffles. Another quarter is topped with Italian Porchinis, white Parma ham, completely covered with parmesan cheese. The last quarter of the pizza is topped with jumbo lobster medallions with Iranian caviar topped with a finishing touch of 24-karat edible gold leaves; and Lobster Burger -  flavored with choicest of Italian sundried tomatoes, kalamata olives & fresh garden herbs, topped with cheese gratin & Iranian caviar, served with duo of exotic salads, stack of crispy onion rings, basket of assorted fries & accompanying sauces.

As for the drink, I love the Romantic Jumbo cocktails – this drinks are made for couple to enjoy,  and Exotic Lagoona – cocktail inspired by the color of our lagoon. Another one to mention is the  Black Ivory coffee - Black Ivory Coffee is the rarest and most unique coffee in the world. Naturally refined by elephants, the beans are broken down by the elephants’ digestive enzymes, resulting in a smooth tasting coffee without bitterness. Taj Exotica Maldives is one of the only hotels in the world who serve Black Ivory Coffee.
