Beaverbrook: Surrey Hills Splendour & Tail-Wagging Treats

Beaverbrook: Surrey Hills Splendour & Tail-Wagging Treats – By Pixie the Pooch

Hello my lovely four-legged friends (and your ever-loyal humans), Pixie here, back with another paw-some adventure. This time, I’ve been exploring the utterly magnificent Beaverbrook, and let me tell you… it’s one very special place indeed.

A Grand Country Escape

Nestled in the rolling Surrey Hills, Beaverbrook is the kind of place that makes tails wag the moment you arrive. With its grand estate, sweeping views, and fascinating history (I overheard whispers that Winston Churchill himself was a regular guest of Lord Beaverbrook, how terribly impressive!), it feels like stepping into a proper English fairytale.

Pooch-Perfect Comforts

Now, onto the important details…our comforts! I was treated like royalty with my very own cosy bed, dog-friendly towels, water bowls, waste bags, and, most importantly… treats. In fact, I was given the most delicious sausage while my humans enjoyed a delightful lunch at the Garden House restaurant. I do believe I got the better end of that deal.

Do note, my furry friends: we are not permitted in the Main House or the spa (a tragic injustice, as I do enjoy a bit of pampering). But fear not, there are plenty of other lovely spots where we are most welcome.

Village Life (with a Touch of Glamour)

We stayed in a Deluxe Room in an area called The Village; utter bliss! You can stroll there through the grounds or, if you’re feeling particularly fabulous (as I always am), hop into your very own golf buggy provided with the room. Alternatively, you may request a driver, ours was the delightful Marcus, who kindly slowed down over bumps for my royal comfort.

Adventures & Etiquette

The estate is simply divine for walks, with beautiful trails just waiting to be explored. Welly boots and maps are available for your humans, though do remind them: they must be kept on a lead at all times: one simply cannot have unruly humans running about.

Dining-wise, we are welcome in The Conservatory at The Garden House and Mrs Beeton’s restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, perfect for keeping a close eye on any dropped morsels.

Hurlingham Travel Perks

Now listen closely, dear companions, if your humans are clever enough to book through Hurlingham Travel, they’ll receive some rather fabulous added treats (subject to availability):
• Early check-in & late check-out
• Complimentary room upgrade
• Complimentary breakfast
• A special in-room amenity with a note from Hurlingham Travel

And the best part? We furry family members stay complimentary, with all our essentials (and luxuries) thoughtfully provided.

Until Next Time…

Beaverbrook is a truly enchanting escape, full of charm, history, and plenty of space for both adventure and indulgent naps. A perfect countryside retreat, as long as your humans remember to behave themselves, of course.

Woof woof and elegant tail wags,

Pixie
