Buddhist Blessing Ceremony In Vietnam: Close Your Eyes And Whisper Your Wish

Hue is the center of Buddhism in Vietnam. There are more than 30 ancient pagodas constructed over 300 years ago and hundreds of temples and pagodas built in the early 19th century. Ba La Mat pagoda was built in 1885 by the most venerable monk Vien Giac who was originally a mandarin at Tu Duc King’s court.

Enjoy a unique experience: Buddhist blessing ceremony with monks (duration: 20 minutes). Upon arrival, bring some offerings including some fruits and flowers (that your guide prepared beforehand) to the monks. The monks will take you around the pagoda, home of 16 monks and 6 novices for an overview of the compound and daily life. Then enjoy a prayer ceremony for good life. Close your eyes while holding the candles and whispering your wish. After the ceremony, receive a keepsake from the monks, a symbol statue of happiness, to remind you of this special moment.
